Billionaire businessman Donald Trump ditched the teleprompter at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday and received huge ovations as he slammed President Barack Obama's leadership both at home and abroad.
"We have so many problems — and we have so little leadership," Trump said at the session in suburban Washington. "It's all about the leadership."
He cited China's move this week to devalue its currency against the American dollar, as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin's assault on Ukraine as examples of the United States' decline as a world power.
"The reason why they're doing it is because our leadership is so weak and so pathetic that they can get away with it," Trump said regarding China's currency devaluation. "Believe me, they're taking our jobs — and they're taking them, big league.

Trump is a con-man selling snake oil,
however he is a great show-man and is very successful at it. He is great at what he does.
He can come up with really good line zingers and that is all that CPAC is about. Its a show.

I still love Condi but a sign we are doomed is all this chasing after lost cause imaginary candidates as if they are dogs chasing moving cars on the highway.
No wonder we get Dole, MCCain and Romney.

How could anyone see this coming? He seemed so perfect. He told us exactly what we wanted to hear, isn’t that what it’s all about?”
I avoid personality 'Woof-woof' cults like the plague.
Trump is not a capitalist. He is a terrible business person. He got a fortune from his parents and took it into megabankruptcy. He believes is big government cronyism and MLM charlatanism. He doesn’t believe in the legitimate competition that capitalism entails. He spent 2011 and 2012 carrying water for Obama and he had no intention of actually running for any office.

By the way, in 2011, I remember he promised that he was going to reveal information about Obama's birth certificate. I remember Freepers saying he was legitimate on the BC and that he wasn't lying about running for president.
Both claims were proven to be lies. He didn't run for president after he used it to sell books and TV shows. All the information he swore he had never materialized.
He had a long track record of hating Republicans, then he lied his way to get attention from Republicans, and some people still support him? Unbelievable.
I still haven’t forgiven him for ruining the USFL.
In 2011, he promised he had evidence. What happened to that evidence? He was lying all along. You are going to be hornswaggled by the same liar who got caught lying to you before?

Romney was bad, but Trump is Romney without the credibility and successful track record. Romney is not a clown like Trump. And Romney isn’t conservative, but Trump is one of the few people who is less conservative than Romney. I think Romney is a terrible candidate. But Trump is even worse. Plus, he never had any attention of running for office.
