It is interesting that they refer to evolution in both the title and in the paper, yet none of the article actually has anything to do with evolution. A more accurate description would be “why Kleiber’s Law is true”.

Unrelated to the actual subject matter, it is always amusing to see this type of common terminology:

Wow, I did not know that begging the question was part of the scientific process.

I discounted the articles authenticity as soon as I read the words...”nature chooses...” Nature doesn’t choose anything, it isn’t an entity...it is a word used to denote God’s creation to the enlightened...to others it is a false god...

"Nature" is mindless and makes nothing but messes. Life on Earth was no bizarre accident with odds having more zeros in them than grans of sand in the Sahara. Life on Earth was MADE by an intelligence higher than our own. Period. We are no more an accident than is the Internet, the manned moon spacecraft, geosynchronous satellites, fiber optic transmission, the i7 CPU chip, the PC, Linux or Windows, the automobile, the AC grid, the Hoover Dam and a million other things. None of those happened by sheer accident, and neither did we.

Here's a more accurate perspective for our limited lifespan. The facts of life: "You were made as well as we could make you."
