LAREDO, TEXAS--Texas Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Wendy Davis woke to some unsettling numbers along the Texas/Mexico border today. Of the 14 counties along the Rio Grande, Davis lost sevenincluding heavily Hispanic Webb and Hidalgo Counties. Davis Challenger Reynaldo Ray Madrigals prediction may have come true to an extentWendy has a pro-life Catholic problem and may not hold the support of motivated Latino voters by default.

Ha, ha..........yea, well........don’t worry, in the Democrat controlled “rest of Texas”, which of course includes the “border counties and south texas, votes will be counted as if they did vote even if they don’t show up......5 or 6 times if necessary. Those are the Party Machine counties.
Why do Hispanics in this country have abortions at far higher rates than anglos?
Why is abortion legal in Mexico? Someone in Mexico likes it. If it was universally panned the clinics would do no business.
The problem isn’t the ‘Old’ Texas Hispanic families. It’s the new Hispanic commie ones.
I’ve got a bunch of kin who are also Old Texas Hispanics. They’re vastly outvoted by the new Chavez type newcomers.
That was a surprise. Apparently the “machine” has figured out they don’t need the rural counties except in a close election.
Yes, with 79% of the Democratic Primary vote. But that was only about 430,000 votes; Abbott got over 1,200,000 votes in the Republican Primary.
“Very Hispanic parts of the state down there.”
Which is totally logical-many of those families, like mine have been since the late 1700’s and before, when it was part of the Spanish holdings in the New World-mostly ranchers, with a strong work ethic makes for a conservative vote for any ethnicity...
Wrong. The vote total I used were for RAT primary only. They were down 20% in total votes cast. GOP was down 11% but still cast almost 3-1 vs. RATS.
There are ways to deal with and educate Chavistas and the like-one of my uncles was very good at it.
If Latinos are so important why is Blake Farenthold facing a white guy in the general election?
Because there are 230,000 white voters and 220,000 Latino voters in the district.
There are more Hispanic Republicans than white Democrats in that district.
“Recent figures show the district currently has 243,991 white voters compared to 233,071 Hispanic voters.”
Get back to me after the election.
It is Cornyn vs Cornyn Lite. The Democrats are stupid if they think Alameel is the best chance.
Kesha should run third party against Pete Sessions.
Moving in the right direction. If the shortfall for Dems carries across the nation they are in for a long year.
Abortion is legal in Mexico because the government there is basically socialist and has been since the early 1900’s- and the Catholic church there has selective sight...
1.2 million voted for Abbott, 420,000 voted for Abortion Barbie Davis.
It’s going to be a landslide against the rat turd democRATS come May and November.
Interesting numbers - thanks for posting.
With no national “savior” on the ballot for Dems in this 2014 contest, they’re gonna have to hand out a sh!tload of “walking around money” to get a decent turnout.
The problem is one of numbers. And they’ve been installed in the public schools via the fedgov already. The liberation theology they get from priests doesn’t help this either.
My kin are thinking of pulling up stakes and moving East. For their kids sake. The funny thing is, they were very pro-immigrant (legal or otherwise) until about 10 years ago when the true enormity of the situation began to manifest itself. Previously they’d just imagined that with ‘good old American hard work’ the new immigrants would easily dovetail into the existing culture and work ethic down there. And hey, ‘the more the merrier’, after all they were all Catholic too. Once my kin realized that the newcomers were NOT going to dovetail culturally (the maternity quincinera dresses were a dead giveaway to this) the real situation began to sink in. They’re looking to move to East TN right now although they’ve looked at WY as well.
That part of Texas is no longer Texan, it’s Mexican. Any holdouts will sadly be schooled to this fact in the coming 10 years when the true demographic wave of anchor babies begins voting.
And Mexicans by and large vote for the socialist governments that have legalized abortion.
If they truly didn’t support it, the clinics would go out of business and the whole point would be moot.
Unfortunately that isn’t the case.
We have noticed a lot more Hispanics starting to attend churches in our area and all are conservative. If the Dems notice this trend you can bet that the pro amnesty crap movement will disappear and they will start pushing for increased border security. Isn’t any funny to watch all the Dem whores panic and do exactly what we know they will do? Why yes it is.
Large families seem quite common. I think you are right, they don't in general see it as a major issue for themselves but will the vote against someone who does? There's a different between not being in favor of something and being actively opposed to it.
Many of those public school “graduates” will never make it through one year of college, even with “free” tuition-let them knock their lights out. Private schools are cheaper and home schooling popular for a reason-who would want their kids exposed to the worst example of their ethnicity or communist ideals?
I live a couple of hundred miles away now, but a lot of my family still ranches there. We’ve been in Texas this long-so we’re not going anywhere-we’ll stay, and do our part-it may be a long fight, but that is okay-it is worth it, and we were here long before any communist wannabes...
