House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said that he wants to get amnesty legislation done this year even as he insisted that the immigration reform he and President Barack Obama discussed in their White House meeting was not "amnesty."
Boehner recently said that he and Obama agreed the most on immigration during their recent one-on-one meeting and both want legislation this year, which amnesty advocates believe may be the last chance to pass significant immigration reform. Obama said he would not sign a bill that does not have a pathway to citizenship in it or that creates two classes of people in the United States. “He wants to get it done. I want to get it done,” Boehner told Cincinnati.com on Monday. “But he’s going to have to help us in this process.”
After the House GOP leadership released its immigration principles document, those like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted it as amnesty, halting any momentum it may have had. GOP leaders in both chambers then said that they would not go forward with immigration reform until President Barack Obama convinced them that he could be trusted to enforce any new laws. Boehner's comments may give more credence to the belief that that was just a head fake to secure the potential votes of Republicans on the fence.
Boehner also said that providing illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, is not amnesty.
“Some want to call it amnesty,” Boehner said. “I reject that premise... If you come in and plead guilty and pay a fine, that’s not amnesty.”

Right again, Marlowe. Any plan that has workers in the US who can be here legally but never have the right to pursue citizenship is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Scotus will decide that someone who is subjugated throughout his life only to work but never to participate is some form of serfdom or slavery.
Any law that deals with illegal immigrants -- other than deportation -- is a backdoor way to get amnesty, even if it takes the judiciary to declare it.
He's a wannabe democrat - nowhere near a republican.

The statement that if you pay a fine it isn’t amnesty, is cringeworthy.
We should apply this logic to all crimes.
Plus it means admission to the USA is just up for sale.

Hello Boner, it's amnesty. I do not, however, think many illegal aliens will come forward to plead guilty and pay a fine. Are these politicians really that stupid? Well, yes, of course they are.

There is a lot of evidence to support your assertion.
Boehner has been a rock-solid opponent of any Impeachment of Soetoro-Obama, the Democrat’s former Foreign Student Impostor.
Every Rep. running for office or re-election should be told point blank, you either take an oath to replace Bohner as speaker AND vote against any legislation to give special treatment to criminal invaders already here residency or citizenship.
If they won’t why vote for them vs the rats?

Passing any law that rewards criminal behavior, such as illegal entry into our country, with citizenship is unforgivable. I approve of legal immigration and want that system fixed, but I do not think our country needs more criminals.
According to Jamie DeuxCarnie on Hannity’s show, boehner says that he is running an has the votes for speaker next term. Vote against any representative that votes for this lush!

Well as long as people buy the lesser evil/no matter what crap he probably does. The right proved they will accept liberals with Romney and he knows it.
So we can either stop doing that or not. Simple choice. The Dems are doing nothing worse than the GOP. The GOP is lockstep with Dem desires. So we lose either way.
