The Department of Justice (DOJ) is preparing to announce an expansion of background checks based on executive orders president Obama issued in January 2013.
According to The Hill, the expansion consists of "three changes to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)."

Same thing happened to me and my husband, except we were lost at sea at the time. I’m not even sure which ocean we were in. That's a puzzling statement, considering the fact that one of the biggest stories of Obama's term in office has been the explosion of gun sales in this country.

Nope. Not a member at all. Although I might join again to get the magazines.
Most gun control is at the state level. Nothing against the NRA, I just think other gun orgs are more effective. Check out VCDL if you want an example.
