When Barack Obama was running for President, many of us had doubts about his commitment to Israel. Even though he claimed to support them with no reservations, we were not so sure of his real intentions. This is what he said when he was bidding for the White House, claiming Israel's security was non-negotiable and sacrosanct. He has repeatedly reiterated that statement throughout his first term and into his second. Again, many of us wondered if his actions would ever match his rhetoric. My friends, that day has finally came, but not in the way American Jews or their fellow Jews in Israel would have hoped. This is what he told Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday in an interview with Bloomberg. Thanks to Gateway Pundit for the tip.
The Times of Israel - Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister.Personally, I would have liked to heard Netanyahu's reaction when he heard what President Obama had to say. I suspect, given the Israeli Prime Minister's attitude of taking care of Israel first, it wasn't something Obama would appreciate. As it is with Obama's relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he is out of his league with Benjamin Netanyahu. Given his past actions, I can't see either man taking the President seriously at all.In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israels citizens behind an agreement
The president went on to condemn in no uncertain terms Israels settlement activities in the West Bank, and said that though his allegiance to the Jewish state was permanent, building settlements across the Green Line was counterproductive and would make it extremely difficult for the US to defend Israel from painful repercussions in the international community.
If you see no peace deal and continued aggressive settlement construction and we have seen more aggressive settlement construction over the last couple years than weve seen in a very long time if Palestinians come to believe that the possibility of a contiguous sovereign Palestinian state is no longer within reach, then our ability to manage the international fallout is going to be limited, Obama said.
Does President Obama really think he can load the negotiations in favor of his peace plan, before they even begin? If there is one thing I have learned from watching Benjamin Netanyahu and his leadership of Israel, it is two things. First, he loves his country. I suspect his love for Israel is far greater than the love our current President has for America. Second, he does not bluff, especially when it comes to Israel's security.
So, we know now how President Obama really feels about Israel. He has no intention of backing them up, should push come to shove with the international community. He will roll over like a whipped puppy and Israel will be left on their own. Is anyone who has paid attention in the last five years really surprised at this announcement? I know I'm not.
take out “be able” and you will have it right
ubama will not defend Israel, out best and only Western style ally in the depraved Middle East
I didn’t know Israel was the 51st state.
It’s not a question of “able”; it’s a question of “willing”. And this muslim aggrandizing administration would sell Israel out in a heartbeat.
Under Obama, America won’t be able to defend America, and he won’t try.
Changing demographics in the United States has lessened American support for Israel. Obama’s policies are not occurring in a political vacuum. Netanyahu and future Israeli leaders will have to come to terms with this evolving new reality. Fifteen years ago if Europeans began or threatened a n economic boycott against Israel, The US would have immediately stopped it.Today the Secretary of State uses it to force Israel to make concessions in the “peace negotiations” he has initiated. Things have changed.
They should be wondering why the US is backing Nazis in the Ukraine right now.

It would be very intersting to see if the US really banned leaders that they turned around and backed

Wake up America, there is nothing that is a more useless waste of time than listening to mac daddy speak words that have NO credibility whatever.
Actually, the 58th...
Yet it has done nothing to lessen Jewish support for democraps.
How the Holocaust happened becomes more understandable year by year.
This policy has more to do with the leadership. Not the people. The voters in general don’t seem to care much about anything today, whether it’s Israel, Russia, debt, failed entitlements, etc. enough voters are driving their decisions about unimportant issues or cult of personality.
If a president backed Israel in this, it would be accepted too. No one seems to give a damn either way on big issues.
The American people spoke up against Obama’s stupid proposed Syrian adventure. After a decade of war, the American public are slowly awakening to the political elite’s addiction to endless global conflict.
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
“As it is with Obama’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he is out of his league with Benjamin Netanyahu.”
I cry for America.
God please forgive us, not all of us in America agree with this and are as demanding against Israel. Please Lord frustrate the plans of the wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He never had any intention of defending Israel. It should have been obvious to anyone!
Speak for yourself. I had NO doubts whatsoever about Obama's commitment to [destroying] Israel.
Yes they have.
