As I am writing this article, Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoğlu is still in Ukraine to discuss the situation in the Crimea region. ... In an article in last week’s Russian Pravda, it was noted that if Ukraine was divided, then the status of the Crimean Peninsula – returned to Ukraine in 1954 by Nikita Kruschev, would be open to discussion, and that would include Turkey having a say in the future of Crimea.
Russia gains control over Crimea
The reference to this claim is the “Küçük Kaynarca” (Karlowitz I) signed 230 years ago. As per this agreement, signed by the Russian Tsarina Catherine II on April 19, 1783, the Crimean Peninsula was taken away from the dominion of the Ottomans and handed over to Russia. However, one of the most important provisions of this treaty was the debarment of independence for the Peninsula and outlawing its submission to a third party: Should any such attempt be made, then Crimea would automatically have to be returned to the sovereignty of Turkey.
When Ukraine appeared as an independent nation following the disintegration of the USSR in 1991, Turkey acquired the right to claim the Peninsula back based on the Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca ...

This year has the aroma of a vintage 1938. Russia under what is basically a national socialist regime headed by a trained KGB apparatchik, and Obama reeks of weakness and incompetence. Based on the face of America the media displays one would think we’ve become a nation of mincing drag queens. Turkey has a big say in Syria - to an astonishing degree.
Imagine, that a NATO member is allowed to assemble an army of insurgents on its border, and arm them to attack a neighboring sovereign state.
And who gets international sanctions in this case? The Syrians who are under attack.
Turkey and Europe will ignore Russia taking everything east of the Dnieper as long as Russia is willing to discuss the future of the Crimea in order to keep Turkey from moving even further away from Europe and towards the coming Caliphate.
And, Russia will discuss the matter. For at least a decade.
Sounds like a problem that the British, French and Turks have faced before! 1853-1856.

Turkey tries to talk about Turkic brotherhood (Turkic nations include Uighuristan/Xinjiang/East Turkestan, Kirghizia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan), but is powerless against the Chinese atrocities in Xinjiang, far less in Russia. The Turks have other things to worry about
The english and french were b***ards to fight against russia in the crimean war — they fought on the side of Moslems against their Christian fellow-men.

Putin should at very least pressure Turkey to give back Hagia Sofia to the Orthodox Church.
The gears are in place to add Criemea to Mother Russia. All that is needed is a vote and up goes the white, Blue and Red. Then they will need a land link to Russia-—Little we can do—Russia got bigger, Ukraine smaller. All done with no lives lost (for now).

It is interesting the Crimean War started over a fist fight between Orthodox and Catholic monks in Bethlehem over who should install a new star on the spot Jesus was born on.
The Turks had to send in troops to break it up.
From what I’ve read, the Orthodox sent a plea to Mother Russia for help, the Catholics sent a plea to France. Britain got involved because she wanted to keep Russia contained in it’s area.
