On Thursday, the Obama administration quietly announced it will allow consumers in states with busted Obamacare websites to retroactively bag taxpayer-funded insurance subsidies, even if they purchased health insurance outside the Obamacare marketplace.
The move by the Obama administration will help Democratic candidates facing voters irate over Obamacare by now retroactively cutting checks to citizens in states with broken Obamacare websites. As CBS News reports, "Those who stand to benefit the most are Democratic governors who plunged ahead and ran into problems" because "Republican governors basically defaulted to federal control of online sign-ups in their states."
Democratic Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber was ecstatic, especially since his state's failed Obamacare website has yet to enroll a single person online, even though his state scored $304 million in federal grants to build its busted Obamacare website.
"I applaud the federal government for its efforts to make this financial assistance available for more Oregonians," Kitzhaber said.
The latest unilateral Obamacare change comes on the heels of 28 others. Republicans have blasted Obama for what it considers unconstitutional changes to a law without the consent of Congress. The procedures for how exactly customers will claim retroactive taxpayer-funded subsidy checks is presently unclear.

This is Constitutional crisis time. If you can’t stop Obama from unilateral changes to legislation.
but, but it is settled law.
Why bother with Congress if you don’t have to?
It was pointed out on Hannity the other night, when he said during his state of the Union address that he would bypass Congress, a lot of the Congress applauded. They just want to sit back and steal everything they can and not take ANY responsibility for the country.
I guess our only recourse is to protest like the Ukrainian and the Venezuelans are doing and let the MF Governmental AGENTS shoot us down???
Also - how does the money actually get delivered to the state's treasuries? Does the Federal Reserve wire them the money? There has to be a way to stop this before it's too late.
Since we are witnessing a power grab, the likes of which we may never have seen before. It seems to me congressional leaders should step up and announce that Obama’s latest actions are unconstitutional, and therefore illegal, and they will take action however they can, impeachment or whatever, against any official that acts on the ruling(s). Since we are in a constitutional crisis, lets make it real.
The GOP establishment thought that Obamacare would be a sure winner in the 2014 elections. They thought that the best strategy was to sit back and watch the pain unfold among the electorate. Now it appears that the pain will not be nearly as widespread or severe as was at first thought. This is no surprise to the few in Congress who can think rationally.
Senator Cruz had the right strategy all along. Keep the heat on continually. Remind the public at every turn what a disaster the ACA legislation is. Keep the court challenges coming in the hope that at least one will succeed. Tell the public that the Democrats are engaged in a bait-and-switch that will hit them hard in 2017. Tell the public that the insurance companies as well are being subsidized by the government through the ACA for its own failures. The public, through the government now and directly starting in 2017, will be bailing out the failures of Obamacare. It will all just be added to the national debt.
The public must be told this by their elected representatives such as Senator Cruz, since the media is whitewashing Obamacare.

He has no POWER to do that.
Grant Obama Primacy
OK asking the question...if it is a TAX then he can not do this.correct?.................E O Do NOT apply to taxes/money
It appears he can do whatever he wants.
Assuming the word "bag' means that people will get subsidies from the American taxpayers; when was the law or legislation passed that allows this? When were the taxpayer funds appropriated by Congress to pay for this?
Hey Republicans in Congress: Are you going to oppose this lawlessness anytime soon? And if you don't why should anyone vote to give the Republicans the Senate much less the House again? Why?
“Looks to me like buying votes, but that is just my opinion”
DemoRATS ARE in deep doo doo. That’s exactly what it is. Buying votes.
