Seems the Paper has problems with names...Like Calling Criminal Invaders who are parasites of this Country Mexican Immigrants.
I’d call em Immigrants if they stood in line at the Border Crossing.
Crossing without following the Law is CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. Expecting handouts from Social Services while shipping their UNTAXED income home is also TAX FRAUD and parasitic hehavior, mailing it or wiring it back to Mexico is MAIL FRAUD!
The correct term is “undocumented Democrats.”
I find his comments quite humorous-——and true.
.
Say no more, Senator, we hear you loud and clear.
“Cornyn also brought up a fact that most of those who fight reform probably dont think about: Mexico is the United States third-largest trading partner.”
“Cornyn also says, probably correctly, that most of the people who come from Mexico dont even want U.S. citizenship, they just want a job, to provide for their families.”
Cornyn believes Mexicans should dictate what immigration policy is.
Is cornyn fighting dirty for desperation?
This is the main risk with untested candidates. I’d like to see RINO Cornyn offloaded as well, but comments like these will come back to haunt Mapp in the general election if he gets the nomination.
As much as we might toss those terms around here in FR, that’s not the kind of verbiage that gets you elected.
note: put Mapp on my *to fund* map.
Would have been better if he had not used such language; but, now that he has, his best bet is to do what the Democrats do — wallow in it, say it again and again, and stay on the offensive no matter what. We’ve got to stop running away every time the RINOS stamp their feet.
President Eisenhower used the term wetback , so it must be OK and not a slur.
Should he have called them an “invasive species of primates”?
Wonder what Cornyn thinks about Operation Wetback.
um... hey Cornyn...here's a news flash for you!! you can't represent someone who is here illegally !
Their representatives are in Mexico!
I have nothing against Hispanics, I am just sick and tired of those who are invading our country in the millions and overwhelming out system and depressing wages for your REAL constituents! you know! the people who actually VOTE for you!
Well, I don’t say wetback-I say mojado, and that is a pejorative-but I can say it because my ancestry is latino...
Was this Mapp guy a serious candidate before he said these things?
Newsflash, Cornball: you're not supposed to be representing the concerns of illegal aliens in the halls of Congress. Try representing the citizenry for a change. This kind of attitude is why we want you OUT.
Funny the only shot fired was the one Mapp put in his foot.
I specifically recall that TX’s beloved Ann Willis Richards, they may have unseated her but they named a bridge after her in Austin, used the term “weback” and no one said a word. I don’t rememvber if this was before or after she was governor. The old Richards people are lining up en masse for her heir, Wendy Davis.
