Rick Perry: “I was troubled today by the tone of the president…”
Right Scoop ^ | Feb 24, 2014 at 9:47 PM

Posted on 02/25/2014 11:32:06 AM PST by Red Steel

Rick Perry admitted at the RGA today that he was very troubled by Obama’s tone today addressing the National Governors Association:

I don’t mind telling you I was a bit troubled today by the tone of the president. …For the president of the United States to look Democrat and Republican governors in the eye and to say ‘I do not trust you to make decisions in your state about issues of education, about transportation infrastructure…’ – that is really troubling.

Perry went on to say that Obama was going to hollow out the National Guard and warned the state governors not to push back against it or they would hear from him:

Democrat Governors are very concerned, I will suggest to you, about what they heard today about the Guard. I left the United States Air Force in the mid ‘70s, in February of 1977, as our country was going through a similar period of time of reducing the force. But those men and women who had extraordinary expertise in combat were going into the Guard and into the Reserves.

I hope we’re not about to make a tragic mistake in this country by hollowing out our Guard in our states in some political statement of ‘you’re all going to feel the pain’. Because that’s certainly what I heard from the president of the United States today.

As a matter of fact [Obama] he said in that meeting “if I hear any of you pushing back, making statements about Washington spends too much money, you’ll hear from me.”

If I’m a Democrat governor, if I’m a Republican governor, I’m highly offended by that.

Yes it is our duty to defend the people of this country. But I will suggest that making a political statement about the Guard is not in the best long-term interest of this country and it’s certainly not in the best long-term interest of those men and women who have committed and often times sacrificed greatly for this country.

“...Don’t be a “do nothing” RINO, insist on Impeaching Soetoro-Obama!..”

You can “insist” on it all you want; if the spineless bastards in the House GOP refuse to do it, short of the People doing a Ukraine-style movement to the streets, it ISN’T going to happen.

And insinuating that people out here are “do-nothing-RINOs” is surely a GREAT way to help the democrats with their divide and conquer bullsh*t.

One Team, One Fight, Grae...

There’s a school who with some good evidence holds that Sinaloa cartel Guzman - Chapo - put zero in office with money and hispanic GOTV.

He was finally captured the other day.

He runs Chicago from wherever he is at the time.

With him gone, his GOTV managers and actual voters are somewhat less likely to commit vote fraud.

Just something to think about when pondering Perry’s interests and hobbies.

Wow...

Good enough for me. She’s “Our Girl”. Thanks, friend.

I’ll get out to Texas someday, hopefully when I retire.

Always wanted to see your state. I like the attitude there.

we are in the primary season...That’s the season where you don’t run against the other side, you decide WHO your side should run.....Wendy Davis is not gonna get 30% of the vote IF she runs, UNLESS we get a Wishy Washy GOP candidate, OR the candidate shoots himself in the foot as Clayton Williams did (that gave us Anne Richards, our last DEM GOV).

Texas deserves a REAL Conservative, not a fake one.

I concur. WHO EVER “made, developed, cultivated, molded” him, put the final “man” together, and sent him out and paid his way. I wonder did the Muslins do this? Who paid for all his college? WHO had the power to cover up all his tracks? It had to be someone with money and power. People look at us when we ask these questions and call us conspiracy nuts. But, we know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this guy. Nothing. All his tracks are covered. He has shown nothing about his past. Of course the 99.9999999999% of the Dimocrat Propaganda Media (MSM) all cover for him and refuse to dig and report it. If it were a republican person like this, no stone would be uncovered to find out about him.

“I know there are a lot of people, even FR’ers, who don’t care for him, but he has the best for Texas in his heart, he’s a Christian, and he’s conservative.”

To be expected. FR is infested with DU trolls, Trotskyite/Soros neo-cons and the “We Walk on Water” cult. I expect that JimRob will be along shortly to do some spring cleaning Zots.

“Governors need to be encouraging their state legislatures to build up their STATE militias or guards.”

Why the hell should we be waiting for governors to do something? Conservatives need to be getting off their fat asses and electing pro-2nd amendment, Constitutional sheriffs in their counties.

Oh come now...He already stuck his neck out and said he was, “Troubled”...A frightful near violent statement..

We should all sit down over some tea and crumpets, and tone down the discussion....Lets have a polite debate!

“This could very well be a prelude to Obama declaring martial law in order to install himself as a ruling dictator or some such position.”

Yes, we should be deeply disturbed. He will unleash 40 IQ, 350-pound desk jockey slobs armed with 2.1 billion rounds of cop killer bullets loaded in glocks with an effective range of 50 meters.

Are you kidding? Perry would have been 1000x better than Romney, and a bazillion more than Obama.

I hear ya. Perry is a true conservative and I’d love him in our state.

Come on to MO and be our governor, Rick. We’re stuck with the idiot Jay Nixon

why are you settling for a RINO like PERRY when you can have a REAL CONSERVATIVE!

We are not talking about Obama.......And Romney, McCain, and Dole are cut from the SAME cloth! Perry just has a Texas accent. Same old RINO

Republicans are not one team. RINOs Dole, McCain and Romney made sure of that.

RINOs are a lazy ‘bunch of folks,’ (to use an Obama expression), who follow whatever their leader Obama tells them to do.

Currently the RINOs are in charge of the House and Senate representation of the Republican Party.

The RINO 5 years of failure is reason enough to hold the RINO leadership accountable for their 5 years of failure.

Either we:
1.) Re-elect those sorry RINOs and suffer the consequences of their continued cave ins to Soetoro-Obama, and thus support “Do Nothing” RINOs; or
2.) We force them to resign their leadership jobs before mid-year 2014.

Support of the status quo RINO Leadership is to admit that there is no hope, no hope for change.
