She may not look anywhere near her 76 years but Jane Fonda says she is well aware of her age.
The Hollywood legend who has made her career in an industry which isn't exactly kind to aging actresses - admits she has been brought to tears on more than one occasion recently as she comes to terms with her own mortality.
In a thoughtful blog post entitled 'Crying', which has since been removed, Jane wrote: '[I've been thinking], how come my tears are so close to the surface? And Ive come to feel it has to do with age. I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious (sic).'
Despite Jane worrying about her mortality, she believes getting older has its advantages, namely allowing her to appreciate the beauty in the world.
She said: 'With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more.
'I feel myself becoming part of everything. I seem to be super sensitive to people's joy and pain. I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polars bears, and elephants, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas and chimpanzees (sic).'
Most recently Jane found herself becoming emotional at her friend Kerry Washingtons baby shower on Sunday.
She wrote: 'Today I was at Kerry Washingtons baby shower. She's 7 months pregnant and looking radiant.
'It was a wonderful party with guests being asked to go into a photo booth and take 6 different poses that were then mounted on a black paper where we could write a message....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially in this matter. A friend of mine is in the film business, he has heard on more than one occasion that Jane will be cremated, ashes spread on the ocean, as she anticipates that a lot of good liquor would be recycled as urine, on her grave.
2005: "Christianity Is My Spritual Home" (Jane Fonda Tells How She Was Saved...)
2011: Rebel without a bra: Jane Fonda said her biggest regret was not sleeping with Che Guevara
Yep. She squandered her youth and now finally realizes life is not a dress rehearsal.
I saw her in person not too long ago. She wears a terrible cheap wig in public, she’s pretty wizened - looks like she lost 2 or 3 inches over the years and she speaks IN A REALLY LOUD VOICE.
I am sure its a challenge to go from a famous babe to a famous hag.
Very limiting in acting parts.
Recall when her dad got old.
No mention of unicorns - how insensitive.
When I saw her, she was at a theater celebration in which she had to make a very brief speech. She seemed pretty woozy all during the event and then when she got up to speak - in front of hundreds of theater “luminaries” - her first words were “This is realllllly weird.” A hush fell over the crowd and some whispering started. I think she vaguely recovered but I got the impression she wasn’t too popular amid the Broadway crowd. She’s an oddball.
Just for more gross out details, she once owned an apartment in Atlanta that was shaped like a vagina (I’m not making this up!) She was selling it and the photo were bizarre in the extreme. Of course, serious mental illness runs in her family.
I don’t recall Jane being an especially great actress.
China syndrome was entertaining but it was hardly a great movie with great acting.
She still looked good in the 1980s though.
She was a sexy young woman - kind of a really dirty WASP. She was very good in Klute - her best performance. I do think she is enormously overrated. All her 70s pix were offered first to Barbra Streisand who turned them all down. She later said to Fonda: “You owe your career to me.” Two bitches who can’t get along despite sharing the same politics!
I got one for you, the movies I saw on TV when cable TV came to my parents home and they got HBO still ring my memories
‘Fun with Dick and Jane’ , 1976,
Jane with George Seagal and Ed McMann
Now that one brings back memories, I could still enjoy it.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.18 U.S.C. § 2381 provides:
"whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
And IMO, that is being nice about it...the woman deserves all the scorn she gets...she sought out the controversy, embraced it and then doubled down on it.
Reap the whirlwind Jane, reap the whirlwind...
No wonder she is crying — Hanoi Jane is probably feeling the heat of the flames of Hell and smelling sulfur.
She’s already had 7 years more than Harold Ramis, and he was the better talent.
************************
She sounds like a 14 year old.
LOL! Just what I was thinking. She knows that too which is why I’m betting she gets burned up and the ashes scattered. If she’s stupid enough to get buried people are going to be able to smell that thing a mile away, it’s going to look like a manure dump.
“Distasteful as she is, a believer would never want anyone to go to hell.”
This believer agrees with you. She doesn’t deserve God’s mercy and grace any more—or less—than I do. I pray that her eyes are opened before it’s too late.
So was Fatty Arbuckle, Larry Storch and almost anyone else in Hollywood you could name.
I hope that scumbag pig lives every second left in her scummy life in excruciating pain.
