Jeb Bush understands that as the son and brother of former presidents, his family name may hurt him as much as help him if he decides to run for the White House in 2016.
And the former two-term Florida governor reiterated that he'll make his decision on whether to launch a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination by the end of this year.
Bush, the featured guest Monday at the Long Island Association's biannual luncheon, a popular stop for former presidents and White House hopefuls, was asked about the recent comments from his mother. Former first lady Barbara Bush told CSPAN that "there's no question in my mind that Jeb is the best-qualified person to run for president, but I hope he won't," adding that "there are other families," who deserve a chance.

I'd rather vote for someone from Benedict Arnold's family.

He could do what John Dingell’s daddy did and change his name to fit a catchy slogan.

Couldn’t have anything to do with your die-hard push for Amnesty could it? Nah.

Is Las Vegas taking action on Jeb changing his last name to Cruz for the upcoming election?

Drudge Report editor Joe Curl just endorsed Jebbie on his Twitter feed today:
Joseph Curl @josephcurl 8h
The Republican Party hasn’t won a presidential election without a Bush or Nixon on the ticket since 1928. So, please, @JebBush, run in 2016!

I am thinking it would be more accurate to say that his family name would hurt him as well as hurt him if he decides to run.
Maybe he could still place nineth in the primaries.
If only nine Republicans run.

Jeb's an issue. He supports the invasion of the US. It took him and GWB together to let Terri Schiavo die. He's said nothing to indicate that he knows why constitutional conservatives are so fed up.
I'll never vote for him. If the 'pubs are going to choose someone who won't save the US, I'd just as soon the nation go down with hillary in charge.

I can only interpret that as sarcasm. If he’s serious, he’s s sick individual.
To: nickcarraway
Not sarcastic. He’s serious. That’s the problem. Joe Curl is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He despises Tea Party and Social Conservatives.

The Kennedy name is/was an issue, too-but some people never learn...
I have come to believe if the words “political” and “dynasty” apply to a candidate, they should never be elected-it is like being inbred...

I apologize if this is crude but back in the 60s/70s the term Bush was sometimes used in reference to one with female plumbing. The term Rag was also used and it was a derogatory term used descriptively. Maybe Jebby should change his last name to RAG if he wants to feel equal to the hildahag. “Vote for Jeb Rag”! imagine the political slogans one could spin from that.
To: nickcarraway
We know who Jeb is. This Bush in Texas running for dog catcher? Who is he? I think we can find a Cruz relative that is going to be a problem. The sins of the father.....blah blah blah.
