The reality is that the GOP needs to be working hard, really hard, right now, to develop workable solutions that preserve the free market in health care and that can be shown to absolutely reduce costs and address the issues of accessibility.
They should be putting together substantive working groups, including practicing physicians, patients, and all the groups that should have legitimately been represented but were shut out while Ezekiel Emmanuel quarterbacked legislation that will destroy the best in American medicine - unnecessarily.
If you have a great alternative to sell, it’s a lot easier to get people on your side.
Then let the free market take over. It will sort out the mess, by letting people and companies decide what type policies suit them best and charge a price at which they can compete for business and still make a profit.
Give the doctor his due, but keep the bandaid down to a nickle.
Once the bandaids are down, the premiums can come down and the doctors don't lose any money.
'Course now, if the real time costs of medical care are not the issue in the first place (which it isn't ... not with lucifercare, anyway), all the logical bookkeeping in the world will be of no help.
