In 2011, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D – Nev.) went before a joint session of the Nevada State Legislature to call for “an adult conversation” about prostitution in the state.
“Nevada needs to be known as the first place for innovation and investment – not as the last place where prostitution is still legal,” he said in a speech delivered to the Nevada Legislature.
“We should do everything we can to make sure the world holds Nevada in the same high regard you and I do,” Reid continued. “If we want to attract business to Nevada that puts people back to work, the time has come for us to outlaw prostitution.”

However, Las Vegas is hoping to host the 2016 Republican National Convention. Reid, a supporter of the city’s bid, has argued that even though prostitution is a misdemeanor in Las Vegas, the state’s stance on prostitution could be an issue.

His plan is simple. He’ll preach outlawing prostitution knowing it won’t happen. Then he’ll say that if women can be prostitutes, so should gay men. Always look for the democrats’ end game.
Reid isn’t interested in making Americans more free to pursue life, liberty, and happiness...he isn’t interested in making capitalism, the Constitution, and Christianity more VIBRANT in our nation....nope, he is interested in shutting down a few brothels in Nevada.
Ya know Harry, I happen to think prostitution is bad, too...I think you ought to RESIGN immediately and run for a state-level office in Nevada so you can campaign for an end to that practice.

I would rather he can for an end to “prostitution” in the U.S. Senate where the Senators sell their states down the river for a few pieces of silver.

Every long timer I meet here in Nevada says that Dirty Harry’s first job for the Las Vegas mob was to be the “bag-man” who carried the cash receipts from the whorehouses out of town into the Las Vegas mob bosses.

The smallest county in Nevada is Storey County. Over half of their county budget comes from the taxes on the brothels in that county.
For all the crime reports I hear on the Reno TV stations, I have never heard one word about trouble at the brothels They are well run & they have ZERO tolerance for anyone causing trouble there.
