It’s called cleaning your own house first.
It was NOT circular.
Romney attacked everyone including Sen. Thompson.
Then Romney attacked everyone, ending with Gov. Palin’s
children through surrogates (Rove et al)
Then Romney attacked every candidate from the Speaker on
down.
Then Romney defended Obama (except for a few minutes
in one debate) ... and gave up.
Then Romney and his Rove surrogates began attacking
the Tea Party for Obama and Romney’s partner Soros.
Conservatives are still focused on stopping liberals. A lot of those liberals are in the GOP.
Dems have always taken care of their base. When will the GOP learn this?
Good article.
The GOP-e that do not reverse their leftward movement and come back to the right have to be dumped as soon as possible. They’re scared to death of Ted Cruz and tea party members for exposing their collaboration with democRats.
Go Ted Cruz!
I wish the GOP WOULD kick Cruz out. They don’t have the guts. But if they did, it would be the official end of the party and they know it. Come on, cowards! Kick Cruz out of you elitist party!
Good article.
Be a conservative, run as a conservative, win as a conservative, govern as a conservative.
Anyone who hasn’t met that criteria is fair game for shootin’ at!
As it stands now, this broken and dysfunctional party has no hope of winning the Presidency. Establishment types are far more interested in destroying conservatives than defeating democrats.
What conservatives need to do is lay down an ultimatum..
“Either you move to the political right and redirect your fire at the left side of the aisle, or plan to be in a permanent minority status, because we are forming a new party.”
I wish the GOP- E good luck. They left me. Adios firing squad

What RINOs really bask in ...
The GOPelite and many of the Congresscritters who are members of the GOPelite have become too comfortable.
They don’t mind losing the presidential elections. They don’t mind losing majority status in the House or Senate. They still get their turn at the money troughs. They still have their prestige and power and influence and the under-the-table ‘grants’ from lobbyists.
Some of them are so ‘comfortable’ that they gave up residences in the states they represent because it was too much of a hassle to maintain those residences. All they need is an address to use and many of their back-home cronies are more than happy to provide them a lounge chair or mailing address. That allows them to put their money toward their homesteads close to the seat of power — DC.
It is the conservatives, the newcomers, the Tea Party who are rattling the cages and making waves. The GOPelites see them as upsetting an acceptible apple-cart status quo. The GOPelites see as their enemy and competition those conservatives, not their friends from across the aisle. That is why they attack ‘their own’ because ‘their own’ really are not part of the exclusive club, and they don’t want to give up their own membership.
Mitch McConnell is using his position and power to go after any GOP candidate who takes money from TEA Party groups he hates.
It’s warm, and going to get a whole lot warmer in the next year, yes. The GOPe is not going to go quietly into the good night.
The big problem with these old Bulls is the same problem Obama has and practically all Democrats...The United States Constitution. Precious few of We The People's elected help solve the nation's problems...they just help themselves...get re-elected.
Conservatives do this. Just hang around here during the GOP primaries and watch us destroy the more conservative candidates while the establishment moderate pulls ahead of them all. It’s a bloodbath. It’s not enough to support your candidate - we have to destroy the other conservatives. I don’t think conservatives rally around the next guy like the left does either.
This is guesswork, but at the outset let’s assume there are 6 viable candidates and 4 of them are conservative. Not one conservative will hold more than 20% support while one of the two moderates will never fall below 30-40% support. The other moderate is normally a throw-away and any support he has always goes to the other moderate when he/she drops out. This is not always true for supporters of a conservative. The math is hard to beat - especially when you watch the conservatives attack one another while milquetoast stays above the fray with the support of the MSM.
My numbers are pure guesses based on past performances, but this reflects the reality of the McCain and Romney nominations. We will likely see it again because the left supports it wholeheartedly.
well, when the rinos and gop-ers and liberal plants surrender, we’ll be done.
To put an analogy to this (from Star Wars) I guess the GOPe want to carry out “Order 66”.
“Hang around Republican circles long enough and you will hear, We have got to stop these circular firing squads.
Forget firing squads. I’d be happy as a clam to see four conservatives show up at our county board meeting. Conservatives are the most apathetic, useless, Mammon-worshipping morons that I’ve ever met.
