Two former Navy Seals found dead aboard the Maersk Alabama, the ship hijacked in the Tom Hanks' film Captain Phillips, are believed to have died of drug overdoses. Mark Daniel Kennedy, 43, and Jeffrey Keith Reynolds, 44, were found dead on Tuesday in a cabin with drugs and hypodermic needles as the ship berthed in the Seychelles.

Knockout drops in their coffee, then needles in their arms?
The security firm they worked for, Trident, according to the article said “The company said it would implement a random drug testing programme.”
So they didn’t have a drug testing program. They may have had a pre hire test but that’s it.
Who do you believe would come to work for a security company without a random drug test?
Another technique is to drug their drinks, and then when they are incapacitated, give them the hot shot.
Either way, I’m not expecting a really thorough autopsy and medical examination.
Knockout drops in their coffee, then needles in their arms?
How often do TWO real drugies both OD at the same time? I suspect that when the first to shoot up croaks, the second wouldn’t push the plunger.
IF we believe that SEALS turn into druggies.
Yeah, I’m suspicious....that’s hard to believe.
This happened in the Seychelles. A CSI style investigation is highly unlikely. No more information to come forward and the ship has most likely sailed.
Even though we may not like to admit it, there is no reason why an ex-SEAL couldn't be an addict. There are many explanations as to why two ex-SEALS of similar age would "OD" together.
Did these guys have a history of drug abuse? That should be fairly easy for a trained investigator to check out.

“Founded by U.S. Navy Special Operations Personnel (SEALs) and Senior U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Officers, The Trident Group was established in April 2000 to fill an observed gap in security consulting, training, technology development and implementation of manpower to the global maritime community.”
I don't know how long they were with this group, but they were only aboard the ship about three weeks before their deaths. If they were new employees they would have passed their pre-hire drug test recently.

‘According to Kevin Speers of Maersk, both Reynolds and Kennedy came onboard the ship on January 29. Their deaths were, according to Speers, “not related to vessel operations or their duties as security personnel.”’
I'm suspicious. Someone may be targeting SEALS.
This is not security for an office building. This is security sent all over the world — case in point security on the Maersk Alabama. Where would they do this random drug testing?
This company was founded by ex-Navy SEALS. I imagine there is a lot of info on other Navy SEALS that they can get through the SEALS community.
So now - what is the total SEAL body count since the Bin Laden raid?
If SEALS are being targeted we will never know. That’s a good thing.
Call me a conspiracy nuy, but I’m extremely skeptical. These guys had to have had some information damaging to the regime.
“If SEALS are being targeted we will never know. Thats a good thing.”
It’s not a good thing, if you are a SEAL being targeted.
I might believe one, but not two.
Ok, it’s not a good thing if you are a Seal being targeted. True.
But I see just a whole bunch of uninformed speculation from people who can’t do anything about it.
If. IF SEALS are being targeted then the Special Ops Community is aware and doing what they need to do. IF. People here who don’t know anything and can’t do anything are better off not getting hard confirmation one way or the other.
Well, it’s beginning to look as though those nasty SEALS are just a bunch of low-lifes. I think the president should cancel all special ops groups, rangers, SEALS, etc., all of em. They are just bad news to control. These types of ops are best handled by DHS anyways.
What did they know?.
If there's nothing to the speculation, then it will die.
Anyone that isn't suspicious about that helicopter accident that involved Navy SEALS is hiding his/her head in the sand. It was right after Biden announced Navy SEAL Team 6 was involved in the Bin Laden take down. Those families are still waiting for a proper investigation into the incident. And Biden is still Vice President, even though he revealed the identity of our elite group.
