They got the right train though, years ago my father explained that the homeless like the E train best because it is the only subway line that runs entirely underground.

And having fallen asleep more than a few times on the train to Brooklyn, when those doors open up outside hello you are awake!

I don’t see why there is a problem with this. They often go to the public libraries during the day.

I knew an (ultra-liberal) nurse who worked with the homeless. He said they had a real go-getter who got government funded apartments and homes for the homeless. They furnished them and provided clothes and all the necessities. The homeless sold the stuff they were given and not one spent a night in the homes or apartments. He said they were mentally ill. (As a psych nurse he got called out to “certify” a homeless man who had nailed his penis to a tree. The cop said, “Well, is he disturbed?” His response? “He’s nailed his frickin’ penis to a tree. He’s not disturbed. He’s crazy.”)
