Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz told a conservative radio program audience that the Obama administration "is the most hostile-to-traditional-marriage administration this country has ever seen."
Speaking on Wallbuilders Live hosted by David Barton and Rick Green, Cruz said: "The administration has been using the authority of the federal government to try to force states — to force federal recognition of marriages that state law prohibits."
Cruz said, "The Obama administration came into Utah and said, 'We're not going to listen to what the U.S. Supreme Court said. We, the federal government, are going to recognize marriages in the state of Utah [that] Utah state law explicitly does not recognize as marriage' — and that was really, in my view, an abuse of power."
Cruz said the ultimate objective of the opposing political camp is to see traditional marriage law torn down in all 50 states.
"We need to stand in defense of traditional marriage," Cruz said and to allow citizens of each state to adopt laws that reflect their values.
Cruz is traveling the country promoting a bill he and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, have introduced— the State Marriage Defense Act— that mandates the federal government honor state laws defining marriage as between a man and a woman, Politico reported.
Cruz said that America had never before seen a president who, if he disagrees with a particular law, simply defies it. The president's approach ought to trouble "everybody" regardless of political orientation who is concerned with the Constitution's protections of liberty, the senator said.
When a host, referring to the president's "tyranny," asked: "Where does this end?" Cruz replied, "We need to speak out."

**Obama Hostile to Marriage**
Absolutely true.
Also true to the Catholic Church and the Sacrament of Matrimony, a covenant of love.
Cruz should do some pre-emptive work here too.
Considering the Current Occupant’s own “marriage”, the hostility is well justified. But Michelle is not a marriage partner, so much as she is a controller put in place by the political entity behind the meteoric rise from a rather insignificant race hustler with a mediocre academic record, through several levels far beyond his level of competency. Between Michelle and Valerie Jarrett, The Won is thoroughly P.W.’ed. (That is a “meow”, with a distinctive sound of a cracking whip in the background.)
Hostility is perhaps the least of his emotions.
The Progressives/Liberals are against Holy Matrimony and oppose it where ever they find it. They believe in all forms of UnHoly Matrimony at this point.

Of course he is hostile to marriage! Look at his ‘spouse’! If you were married to that would you not be hostile to marriage?
Senator Cruz understands the value of attacking the enemy at multiple points of weakness.
RINO politicians, consultants, strategists, advisors, donors, volunteers, supporters and RINO voters do not understand this, as they tend to focus on one or two points of attack for the entire election campaign.
In this manner, the RINOs ignore the day to day fluctuations of opponent revealed weaknesses, and plod on to their usual, and very comforting defeat.
For example, in 2008 Loser Emeritus “Wacko Birds” McCain publicly admonished those who questioned the validity of then Senator Obama’s birth Certificate, thus assuring McCain of another very successful RINO-Style Defeat.
Another example is when RINO Speaker Boehner just last week chose to cave in to his overriding personal phobia of being bad-mouthed by the Left Stream Media, and took off the House calendar the necessary House Debate on the size of the National Poverty Debt Limit, thus guaranteeing the Conservative Democrat and Republican voters will from then on know that RINOs really stand for unlimited Federal Spending.
BTW, notice how many times RINO Rove says: “Republicans should let that go and concentrate on this one point.”
Senators Cruz, Lee and sometimes Rand Paul are wise enough to attack on many fronts, and the double down whenever a weakness is detected.
RINOs have refused to learn that the first rule in Federal Politics is to attack, Attack, ATTACK!
The second rule in Federal Politics is to savagely attack ALL weaknesses as they are revealed.
The third rule of Federal Politics is to accept, without question, that “ALL FEDERAL POLITICS IS NATIONAL.”
Newt, for a brief moment in time, used that wisdom to construct his very successful National “Contract with America.”
Newt’s wisdom soon quickly rejected by the rank and file RINO failure leadership.
No political Wing of any political party has ever enjoyed losing as much as the now obsolete, failed RINO Wing of the Republican Party.
House Member elected, House Sobber Boehner even lends a Soap Opera touch to many RINO cave in losses by sobbing frequently.
Democrats and all RINOs still believe the “Tipsy’” O’Neal failed con slogan which states: ‘All politics is local.’
Democrats and RINOs have used this failed slogan with great success to expand the number of non-working, non-taxpayers on their ballooning Welfare Plantation, paid for by borrowing to increase the National Poverty Debt.
In summary, RINOs belong in the Museum of Failed Politicians, (MOFP), and not on the taxpayer’s payroll.
Make 2014 the year of the extinct Federal RINO!
The left is also hostile to the middle class, whom they view as consumers of too many of the planet's resources. They pontificate endlessly about how Americans consume more than our share of the earth's resources without considering that we also produce even more of our share (50% of the world's corn, 70% of the world's Durham wheat, etc.). To the left, our marvelous production capacity isn't seen as a resource, but a consumption of too much water, fertilizer or whatever the inputs may be.
Their war on the middle class must necessarily include a war on stable heterosexual marriage since the success of such marriages are a key ingredient into entering and remaining in the middle class.
Spot on observation. And notice, in contrast, the Democrats successful strategy of constantly attacking on many fronts, even when these attacks are totally bogus: war on this minority, war on that minority, war on marriage equality, war on the environment, war on working families, war on worker's rights to organize (which really means using their political clout to pillage the public treasury), war on teachers and on and on and on.
Nowhere do they confine their attack to a single theme. If the theme isn't there, then they invent it for whichever target audience they happen to be courting.
Karl Rove isn't too dumb to figure this out, he's just hoping that we are.
Obama is hostile to all that is good and decent!
