Ethiopian Bird of Prey decloaking to starboard!

At 5:00pm Pacific Time, Ethiopian Flight 702, a Boeing 767-300 was flying over Sudan when it started squawking 7500. The transponder code, is supposed to indicate a “hijacking.”

The flight, operating from Addis Abba to Rome has been confirmed by Rome Airport not to have arrived yet. As of now, it is over France, but has recently taken a steep northeast heading.
Based on flight tracking, it appears the plane is headed to Geneva. Emergency crews are standing by.

Those plots are never all that accurate, especially overseas. It landed, taxied, and stopped a while ago. The crew went out the cockpit windows.
Negotiations are under way and the passengers might be released by now.
ATC radio traffic is the most accurate info.
Last radio traffic was that passengers would be disembarking in 5 minutes, but that was more than 5 minutes ago.
No word yet on what happened with the hijacker(s) or the air marshal that should have been on the flight.
The 767 had a military escort the last part of the flight, but those planes do not show up on flightradar.
