Former Bush administration adviser Karl Rove on Sunday cautioned Republicans against a 2016 presidential election strategy that focuses too much on the political history of potential Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

There’s almost no Republicans left NOW!!
Good FREAKING Grief! That was from 1998!!!!!! You said “RECENTLY”!
He admitted it under oath. What more do you want?
Ah! The McCan’t/Romney strategy again.
Brilliant Karl. They will never think we would try that yet again and we catch them off guard.
Luv Ya Karl!
Maybe Rove is working for the Bushes who seem to have made a deal with the Clintons. “Hillary, you get to be President this time, sorry Obama stole it from you last time. But this time it will go just as planned. You get your turn this time and Jeb gets to be President next time.”
Whoever the next Republican candidate will be he will take a fall whether he knows it or not. Maybe the Bushes will have Jeb take the fall just to establish street cred so that he will be well known enough to take on the post Hillary candidate.
Bill is like one of the family now. Babs just loves that scamp.
16 YEARS ago??? Stupid Americans don’t even remember what happened 16 DAYS ago.
Don’t care for Rove and despise Hillary.....BUT, with that said, it would be a devastating mistake for Republicans to revist the Lewinsky affair when vetting Hillary. There are few women, including myself, who can’t find some compassion for her in this matter.
we need to out Rove.
They lost in 2008 and 2012 following that advice.
No reason to think it wouldn’t work again, though.
LOL at their stupidity.
That's the purpose of political advertising.
Time for a true American to stand up - I’m good with either Ted Cruz, Scott Walker or possibly Dr. Ben Carson. If the Republican elitists try to spend all the money against these guys to promote another LOSER, then I hope they go Independent!
Kinda ironic another pundit was demanding Sarah Palin needs to explain again why she resigned as governor!
I’m sure Rove will hound any Conservative running for president to explain his/her past
Same old, same old from the GOP-E. It’s already signaling its surrender.
Heck No. They should be pounding her NOW and not wait. Notice that dems and MSM are not wasting any time attacking Cruz. It’s all about offense and staying on offense
Which presumes, Karl, that the GOP candidate has anything they're for -- save "bi-partisanship" and "working across the aisle" and more of the same old $hit.
When one understands that the GOP-e/Ruling Class and Democrats/Marxists all work for the single Central Party Authority that they are all beholden to - it becomes very easy to understand all the statements and actions they take against anyone they see as a threat.
It’s Central Planning Authority of the Federal Beast versus the rest of us. It’s all about them. We’re just useful idiots and useless eaters.
Im in the minority here, but I agree with this strategy.
Our candidates need to get their message across to the voters about what they will and will not do if elected. Who they are, what they believe, etc. They need to reach the voters because they will have a heck of a time with the liberal media trying to prevent that.
A candidate who is going to drone on about hillarys cattle futures schemes from decades ago is just going to zone the voters out. Not many of this generations voters ever heard of it, and those who have dont give a damn.
Look at it this way. You apply for and get an interview for a new job you really want. At the interview, whats the best way to convince the head of the company (aka the voters) to hire you over all the other applicants he will or already has interviewed? You gonna sit there and trash all those other applicants (”that guy? Dont hire him. He was involved in a shady cattle futures deal a few decades ago. Turned a blind eye to his spouses infidelities”). Or are you going to play up your own strengths? Convince the boss that youre the best person for the job, you have all the knowledge and experience, and you will work the hardest at making the company more successful than it already is.
