As the debate brews over whether Republicans will take up the task of pushing through immigration reform, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday said he is hopeful Republicans will put something forward.
"I have not given up hope that we would act and we must act," McCain said on "State of the Union" with Candy Crowley.
"In states like mine, the demographics will only overtake and throughout the whole southwest," McCain said referencing the Hispanic vote he said Republicans need to win a national election.
McCain stood by his past comments that Republicans would not be able to win another election race without reform.

So, let me get this straight, we either give amnesty to 20 million illegals or lose the Latino vote?
We are mctraitor... your sorry ass and the rest of the rinoid democrats are going into obama’s unemployment line... then we will enforce ALL of our current existing laws. FUjm!
They are selling out to their corporate paymasters. The Chamber of Commerce and their big donors are calling the tune.
We now have the Democrat Party: The Party of Progressives
and the GOP: The other Group of Progressives
I am now a proud member of No Party Affiliation

It is all about one thing and one thing only...a permanent progressive voting majority.
McPain is desperate for an issue he can champion and for which the Liberals who like him and open-borders backers with money will still contribute to his next reelection campaign. If he won’t and can’t produce as a champion their cause, he won’t keep getting their their $upport.
Wasn’t allowing IA’s to take over part of the plan. Now you try to deceive us in political poppycock of endorsing unlawful presence for votes? DOLT!

And gay "marriage," right Juan?
And anything else Ubama wants, right Juan?
Now this is encouraging:
Finally people are no longer feeling the need to preface their criticism of McCain with tired and worn out: “I support his military service, but...”
McCain is a POS traitor!
Most legal Hispanics don’t love the illegals either. The whole thing is a big business and democrat party agenda that has nothing to do with the preservation of our national identity or our economic system.
The fix is in...Bonehead will say he has no choice when the discharge petition comes forth with the help of about 40 GOPers.
Yes, yes, if anyone knows anything, it’s this traitorous putz loser.
Slightly off topic: Crist in Florida recently called for equalization of relations between Cuba and the US. He got hammered by the GOP AND a good number of Dems let by Nelson the Senator. That Latino soladarity on the immigration issue is a pile of crap. Legal hispanics do not wish to be over run with a bunch of people who will erode their lifestyles and knock them out of jobs either.
McCain is only concerned about the next 10 years. He would like to stay in the Senate instead of going to a nursing home. He is going the Strom Thurmond route.
mclame MUST commit voluntarily himself today.
The way these idiots are running things it’s becoming very apparent that they don’t want to ever win a presidential election again, and it is definitely becoming apparent that they don’t ever want to be in the majority again. Of course John McCain never wanted to be president in the first place.
