In the primary for Texas' U.S. Senate seat, Dwayne Stovall hasn't gotten as much coverage as Rep. Steve Stockman. The reason, mostly, is that missing "Rep." Stockman, for all his issues, has been elected to Congress. Stovall is a more typical Tea Party challenger, the kind who runs and wins a small share of the vote on the way to an incumbent's re-election.
But he does have this ad.
Luckily enough I'll be in Texas next week for some reporting, and should be able to find evidence of a Stovall surge

devastating? mehhhhhhh
half good, half lame imo
Great looking dog.
LOL Get a Texan to pose with a dog and a shotgun and you’ve got - a Texan with a dog and a shotgun.
I’m backing Stovall
Dwayne looks like he go go to D.C. and kick Dingy’s butt up and down the aisles all day.
Ain’t gonna happen. Please prove otherwise.
And an American pickup in a rural setting.
Dwayne looks like he COULD go to D.C. and kick Dingy’s butt up and down the aisles all day.
I’m backing Stockman—wanna arm wrestle? LOL!
Actually, either will be much better than what we have, for sure!
In fact, more often than not a heavily negative ad against one candidate typically cements the target candidate's support. (Exception: if there's absolute, undeniable proof of some sort of reprehensible moral or illegal act that led to an arrest.)
If one's placing their hopes on a "devastating" attack ad to win an election in the closing weeks, they're going to be sorely disappointed. (Based on experience.)
I suspect small percentage Texas voters will see the ad unless Stovall has
lots of money to cover major media markets.
In either case he best get on the ball as early voting begins Tuesday and
runs thru Feb. 28. I suspect upwards of 40% will vote early since this
race includes statewide offices, etc.
Worked for Fred Thompson on the state level.
Devastating in not quite the word that I would use. Nice ad, though.
In any case, John Wayne McCornyn has told TEXAS that he does NOT deserve another term in the Senate.
It'd be surprising to see Cornyn doing the same though.
But, but John Wayne McCornyn "Stands up to Obama, Pushes Back!"
Just like he did this week on the debt limit increase.
OH WAIT!! ...Never mind. ... McConnell & McCornyn rolled onto their backs and peed themselves, voting with Obama without one dollar in spending cuts or XL Pipeline approval.
It’s John I. Corny, III, and he has so much conservative support that conservatives no longer know what is “conservative”.
How about a reprehensible voting record?
