I spent some time doing political consulting and opposition research in the early to mid 90's .... guess what? Commercials don't sway public opinion. Especially close to primary or election dates.
In fact, more often than not a heavily negative ad against one candidate typically cements the target candidate's support. (Exception: if there's absolute, undeniable proof of some sort of reprehensible moral or illegal act that led to an arrest.)
If one's placing their hopes on a "devastating" attack ad to win an election in the closing weeks, they're going to be sorely disappointed. (Based on experience.)

Devastating in not quite the word that I would use. Nice ad, though.
In any case, John Wayne McCornyn has told TEXAS that he does NOT deserve another term in the Senate.

No matter who wins the other two and/or their supporters will refuse to back the winner. Republican turnout will be low and the Democrat will win in a close vote. This will be repeated across the nation and the Republicans will end up with less seats than they have now.
How's that for doom and gloom?

Hey, I recognize that dog. It’s the same one that blabbed the secret recipe for Bush’s Baked Beans. This guy might be on to something, here.

Turtle? Has Stovall's ad team forgotten that slow but steady wins the race?

I’m not a fan of Slate, but the turtle overlord reference had me ROFL.

I’m glad that Stovall was able to come up with money for a TV Ad.
To: cotton1706; All
Meh..... Ad was mediocre at best. Actually, I loathe Mitch McConnell, but, to waste ad money saying he looks like a turtle? Childish. I’m disappointed that this being his first TV Ad this is the best Dwayne Stovall could do. But, hey; it’s better than nothing. We’ve got to get John Cornhole in a run-off.

Devastating? Hardly. I guess it depends on how one would define the word. But devastating? Come on now!
