Ted Cruz seems to be becoming something of a Republican bogeyman. One can imagine Republican lawmakers trudging home and telling their recalcitrant kids that if they dont brush their teeth and go to bed, Ted Cruz is going to bring a mob of torch-bearing tea partiers over to take them away. But they should remember that Ted Cruz is a particularly irritating symptom, not the problem.
[snip] But make no mistake: Hes riding a wave of sentiment, not causing it. If there was no Ted Cruz someone else would fill that role; it might be someone in the Congress, like Utah Sen. Mike Lee, or it might be one of the professionally aggrieved outside conservative groups like Heritage Action or the Senate Conservatives Fund, who know a rich fundraising vein when they see one.
So go ahead, GOPers, roll your eyes at Troublesome Ted. But remember that there are many more where he came from.

Seems to me that Ted Cruz is at least part of the cure for the disease.
The cure o
Young Robert Schlesinger has to tell us something we don’t know. I must be part of that wave he keeps referring to.
Seems to me that Ted Cruz is at least part of the cure for the disease.

“or it might be one of the professionally aggrieved outside conservative groups like Heritage Action or the Senate Conservatives Fund, who know a rich fundraising vein when they see one.”
Someone change the diaper on this pathetic author. What apathetic analysis. Ted Cruz is professionally aggrieved? Give me a break. The liberals have the monopoly on that group with NAACP, ACLU, La Raza and every other pathetic victim group. People give money to groups like Heritage and SCF because we are sick of being called racists and demonized on a daily basis.
Who is this writer? Can’t figure out what or who he is.
We all know O-hole and the progressives are the disease!
“Ted Cruz is a particularly irritating symptom, not the problem”
The author is wrong. Ted Cruz is neither the symptom or the disease. The disease is the entrenched Washington elite and the MSM.
Ted Cruz is the cure.
I don’t know the guy but the article is pretty much down the middle to supportive of Sen. Cruz.
Dear U.S. News....
Ted Cruz is the CURE for the plague of liberalism in America.
No more crony Cornyn for Texas.
That is the job title of community organizers and shakedown hustlers like Sandra Fluke, Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton.
Ain't no "sin" in standing up and pointing out that this government is overstepping restraints on power and the checks and balances of 3 branches of government.
Libs like Schlesinger can bang their spoons on their highchairs all day long....the Tea Party is not going away.
Millions . . .
You're welcome!
Dear MSM, the Constitution is the cure. Left wing radicalism is the disease.
When you are taking flack from the commie ‘rat bastards, you know you are over the target and hurting them.
