Paula Deen is trying to reheat her career.
A recently formed new company, Paula Deen Ventures, said it has received an investment of between $75 million and $100 million from Najafi Cos., a private-equity company led by Jahm Najafi, who owns BMG Music Service and the Book-of-the-Month Club.
Phoenix-based Najafi Cos. said the cash infusion will be used to help Ms. Deen establish new deals and move away from a pure licensing model, in which she sells her likeness and expertise to others. Instead, she hopes to take more ownership and control in partnerships with retailers and other companies.
Steven Nanula, a food-industry veteran brought in to be chief executive of Paula Deen Ventures, said the company is in talks with TV networks, retail chains and other possible partners, but has yet to announce a television contract or a major deal. The company declined to name the TV networks and potential partners it has contacted.
A Food Network spokeswoman said the cable-TV channel hasn't had any talks with Ms. Deen about re-appearing on the network.

So it’s okay that someone who markets herself as that good ol’ southern gal goes along with the flow and puts her name on the same ol’ Chinese garbage? What’s the point in her having a brand?
Yep, I remember when she had Jimmy Carter on her show and she made much of him. Yuck!
However, some idiots who are democrats don’t know any better, until they marry a conservative, move to Arizona, go to protests against Gabby Giffords, etc.
Let’s hope she has had her come to Jesus moment.
Paula Deen is not “on our side” IMHO
The libs did us a favor because they took down Paula Deen, who, if you read this thread, is anything but a good ol’ southern gal.
I know, but her recipes are my comfort food. Forgive me, I am not pure.
Your prediction makes sense, considering how power flows these days. One of these days, Oprah herself will need to publicly repent for something.Who will The Oprah confess to? Maybe Barbara Walters will come out of her latest retirement and do it.
“Lets hope she has had her come to Jesus moment.”
Not a chance unless money is involved.
She is and has always been a big lib. Jimmy Carter is one of her favorite people. She can stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine as far as I’m concerned. She supported the same people that are now attacking her. Tough, I sure won’t be supporting her by purchasing her products.
The transgenders got me down
Wow...she kept that one quiet, eh?
Jimmy Carter supports his friend Paula Deen
June 27, 2013
With seemingly every retailer fleeing from Paula Deen, one former Georgia president is coming to her defense.
Jimmy Carter told CNN that they were old friends and he said to just “let the dust settle to make apologies.”
“She has some very beneficial human programs in Savannah, Ga., where she lives,” he said. “I advised her to get some of those people who she’s helping every day to speak out and show that she has changed in her relationship with African-American people, with minorities in the last number of years.”
That’s the size that EVERY pic of MO should be.
The story of Deen’s adultery (and other sexual exploits) comes from Deen’s autobiography, It Ain’t All About the Cooking.
What shall I do? I don’t want to be traitor to the conservative movement? My husband loves the broccoli salad she taught me, and the neighbors have come to expect the lemon squares that is her recipe.
BTW, we are not allowed to say ‘Jimmah’s” name in our house, without spitting over our shoulder after. ;)
She kept it quiet until she wrote her book and discussed it as if it was some kind of trophy. The wife had to know she was screwing around with her husband over that many years even though Paula didn’t care who she hurt.
Now she thinks we should support her after all her lib friends (who never supported her way of cooking) turned on her. Not me!
If everyone who has ever used any racial epithet is jailed there will not be enough free people to keep ‘em fed.
Larry King
KING: Then you also had an affair with a married man?
DEEN: I did.
KING: After you were divorced?
DEEN: Yes.
KING: How long did that last?
DEEN: Ten years.

I hope Paula stays in PC prison. I will never forget her gushing all over that beast Moochelle on her show. Paula was used just like the people on The Biggest Loser.
The first person who came to my mind when she walked out was Jackie Kennedy, Deen said about her first meeting with Michelle. She has that kind of charisma.

OH, OKay ... thanks very much. I’m not interested in her.
Just adding to the snark. :)
