Paula Deen is trying to reheat her career.
A recently formed new company, Paula Deen Ventures, said it has received an investment of between $75 million and $100 million from Najafi Cos., a private-equity company led by Jahm Najafi, who owns BMG Music Service and the Book-of-the-Month Club.
Phoenix-based Najafi Cos. said the cash infusion will be used to help Ms. Deen establish new deals and move away from a pure licensing model, in which she sells her likeness and expertise to others. Instead, she hopes to take more ownership and control in partnerships with retailers and other companies.
Steven Nanula, a food-industry veteran brought in to be chief executive of Paula Deen Ventures, said the company is in talks with TV networks, retail chains and other possible partners, but has yet to announce a television contract or a major deal. The company declined to name the TV networks and potential partners it has contacted.
A Food Network spokeswoman said the cable-TV channel hasn't had any talks with Ms. Deen about re-appearing on the network.

Food network is full of progressives and the SS PC crowd
if you don’t kiss their ring/butt you are mud!
I wouldn’t care if she said it today about an azzhole holding a gun to her head. What an upside-down values system is in place, when it’s more important what word a person uses to describe someone directly threatening their life, than that the azzhole was golding the gun to her head in the first place. Just amazing. I try to picture someone holding a gun to my head or one of my families’, and the fear.
There was a time when I used to watch Food Network a lot, back when it was more about the food than the personalities. Eventually even most of the hosts I liked turned into parodies of themselves.
Now, when I feel like watching people on TV cook, I turn on PBS.
“NOT Interested in your return. “
Neither am I...
She is a back stabbing whore who cheated with a married man for over ten years until she found one of her own to exploit.
That’s another matter. It doesn’t negate the one under discussion. I never thought a thing about her until all the brouhaha, but if she’d stood up for what she said, considering the man held a gun to her head, I would have supported her.
Actually I would like that. The we could get rid of the ridiculous shows that are on there now. Outside of the Pioneer woman and Trisha’s Southern Cooking there is not one show I watch there any more. I do go over to Cooking Channel on Friday nights to watch Alton Brown’s Good eats. They never get old
Hate to inform you but in the 21st century MOST things are manufactured outside of the US. The great majority of those things are made in China
Bless her heart. No, I won’t watch the Obastard-lover.
I is what I is !
She voted for Obama, supported Obama, and recieved the benefit of her purchase.
Her cooking is gross and toxic.
PREDICTION: She will be given full absolution by Oprah (with the approval of the magnanimous Obamas) and be on OWN—in mid-October just weeks before the mid-term elections.
She must have paid off Jesse Jackson and can come back now.
Oh wow, I didn't even know about that!
I hope that Phil Robertson will be an example for others that were trapped like her. She was so foolish and when cowed.
BTW, her cookbook is in regular use in my house. I have made my reputation on her broccoli salad and lemon squares.
I don’t get why you say the Libs did us a favor, since most of Paulas goods are made in China.
