I watched the show tonight. They also described this dog as “demanding of attention and manipulative”. I heard that and it got my attention alright.

The thing to keep in mind is the nobamas are owners only on paper, I'm sure the actual day to day owners are the trainer/handlers.

they always pick those little dogs.....the big hound was the crowd favorite all along....it’s gotten to be so predictable...

The blood hound was very nice and deserved to be the winner. I liked the Corgi too.

I agree. I thought the boxer should have won the working dog category. It had a lot of spirit.

It is predictable. That poodle is always in the final cut and the celebrity Obama dog. That little Dandie certainly should have won the terrier group. I liked the Corgi for best in show and the hound.

Our dog had puppies a few months ago. Pit bull and Chihuahua. You wouldn’t think it, but they’re adorable. They look like Pits, but they act like Chihuahuas. They whine, bark, jump and dance around, and burrow under the blankets just like a Chihuahua. They won’t get as big as a Pit, though. Probably small to medium sized.

Studies are showing dogs to be vastly more intelligent than we have previously given them credit for.

They pick up on subtle cues from humans (and other dogs) that not even Pan Troglodytes has a clue about.

I’m waiting for them to simply put a TV monitor underwater with a long dictionary type narrative playing in the background and some recording instruments. Along with dolphins.

We could be talking to them in three or four years easy if there was an effort.

That’s actually a pretty darn cute combo..Do they look more like Pit Bulls or Chihuahua’s? I know our Nemo is Pomeranian and Maltese but he has the Pomeranian body, Pomeranian ears, tail, and personality, but he has some Maltese in him too, just not sure where LOL. Maxie is a full bred Shih Tzu, got him from our neighbor down the street who could no longer take care of him(But a few months ago they ended up getting a new dog, wait a few years they will give him up too) he’s a good boy, a miniature shih tzu, doesn’t look like the ones you see in the dog shows, I dont think we could keep their coats looking that long

We're talking to them now. The problem is their intelligence is limited, so they're not talking back.

The bloodhound and the corgi were my 2 favorites. But the wire haired fox terrier did nail it in the informal stack. I really thought the bloodhound was going to get the prize until that little terrier stopped dead in his tracks and raised his chin and fixed the judge in his gaze.

I think that poodle as reserve was just a throw away because it was retiring.

“They’re excellent swimming and driving abilities...”, eh?

I’d like a dog that could spell me at the wheel on long trips. Just hope that their grammar is better than that of some bloggers (and it probably is).
