A 17-year-old Maryland boy has become one of the first openly gay Boy Scouts to achieve the Boy Scouts of America's highest rank since the organization reversed its ban on gay youth nearly six weeks ago.
Pascal Tessier, who publicly voiced his opposition to the ban on gay members, started with the group a decade ago as a Cub Scout and earned 21 merit badges before being named an Eagle Scout on Monday, said his father, Oliver Tessier, a consultant in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

God Bless You and Trail Life.
Who cares: The Scouts were originally a christian organization, Now I wouldn’t let a child of mine join it!
I’m sure the entire troop to which he belongs is debauched, and has probably been promoting this previously banned practice for years.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith and honor of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia, do by these presents, solemnly and mutually, in the presence of God, and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic; for our better ordering, and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions, and offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general good of the colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the 11th of November, in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth, 1620.
I'd venture to say that EGO is not the only thing involved!
Thanks for this link!

Weasel words for...
I wonder if he's discussed his DEATH with openness and an ability to withstand GOD's judgement?
“...to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.”
What the he77, oaths don’t mean squat anymore.
Could be. He’s Jewish.
FYI. Your state of Texas has something like 50 trail life troops starting. Hopefully there’s one near you.
Thank you. We’re looking into that, no question.

I’m uncertain what this means. What was “the current policy” at the time this report was published?
God is not mocked. He will prevail.

But Boy Scouts of America only accepts gay men under the age of 18, and with Tessier’s 18th birthday quickly approaching this August, his future in the BSA is anything but secure. Its kind of a backhanded acceptance: We accept you for now, Tessier said. It says to you youre a monster of some sort.
Check out the rainbow button...makes me want to GAG! Maybe that will be a new “Boy Scout” medal. /s
*******
Gays are starting to demand gays be accepted after 18 now. It is never enough when these leftist start their destruction.
Jennifer Tyrrell (L) of Bridgeport, Ohio, speaks at a news conference as Pascal Tessier, 16, of Kensington, Maryland, wipes his eyes at a news conference held at the Great Wolf Lodge May 23, 2013 in Grapevine, Texas. The Boy Scouts of America today ended its policy of prohibitting openly gay youths from participating in Scout activities, while leaving intact its ban on gay adults and leaders. Jennifer was kicked out of the scouts as a Cub Scout den leader in 2012 for being openly gay. Pascal, who was told by Scout leaders that since he was openly gay, he could not attain the Eagle Scout rank, but was permitted to remain a Scout, will now be able to resume his pursuit of the Eagle Scout rank.

Everything is a campaign with them, everything. Screw YOUR values, it is all about them no matter who else it hurts.
In this Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 photo, Pascal Tessier, 16, center left, a Boy Scout, and his brother Lucien Tessier, 20, who had earned the rank of Eagle Scout, pose for a portrait with their parents, Oliver Tessier, left, and Tracie Felker, at their home in Kensington, Md. The two Tessier boys enjoyed Cub Scouts, progressed to Boy Scouts, and continued to thrive there even as many in their troop became aware that each boy was gay. The family is grateful for that, but fervently hopes the BSA's top leaders officially scrap the ban so that open acceptance becomes the norm for Scout units nationwide.
