Marco Rubio Won’t Say if He Smoked Pot
Time ^ | 2/11/14 | Maya Rhodan

Florida Senator Marco Rubio doesn’t want you to know if he ever smoked marijuana. In an interview on Monday, he refused to answer the question posed by a TV reporter, saying that the information could do more harm than good.

“I’ll tell you why I never answer that question,” the Republican Senator said during an interview with Fusion’s Mariana Atencio in Miami. “If I tell you that I haven’t, you won’t believe me. And if I tell you that I did, then kids will look up to me and say, ‘Well, I can smoke marijuana because look how he made it.’”

This is making news in Miami....as if this is an important issue.

Rubio just returned from a trip to Japan where he met with our military and foreign leaders.....NOT A WORD in the Miami media.

Well, I can think of a recent US President who has probably had so much coke sucked up his nostrils that his nose looks like a punching bag.

I won’t say either. I think the statue of limitations is long over in my case.

Notice how the media is making a big deal out of this because he is a REPUBLICAN. Did they ever question Obama about his drug use? Did they make a big deal out of it? NO. I completely understand Rubio’s answer, too. If he said no.. they would call him a liar. If he said yes.. he would be sending a bad message to kids.

Well, I confess that I smoked pot one time, back in my early 20s (40+ years ago). The best thing about it is that it made me sick as a dog, and I knew I would never do it again.
It was probably in combination with the Scotch that I was drinking, haha. I do, however, still drink good Scotch, but mostly wine in my senior years.

"Rubio just returned from a trip to Japan where he met with our military and foreign leaders.....NOT A WORD in the Miami media. "

Central Florida media is just as biased. Brighthouse cable News 13 has partnered with 'Politifact' to spread left wing propaganda.

——Just tell the truth. Stop being a weasel and man up!——

What purpose other than giving the media and the libtards red meat would that serve ?

If he did, he will be called a hypocrite if he is opposed to medical marijuana on the ballot in Florida..

If he didn’t the media and libtards will find someone who claims he did and call him a liar. ...

It’s a gotcha question...those should be ignored. ..

Nope. And by the way, I am not interested in hearing about Marco’s bedroom behavior either.

I believe in telling the truth and let the chips fall where they may. As others have pointed out he could bring up the hypocrisy of the MSM if the topic comes up.

Really Time magazine? Rubio not answering a question about pot is the subject of an entire article, while the POTUS has NEVER even been questioned, mentioned, or associated with recreational drug use by TIME despite the pictures all over the internet and in foreign press, and admissions in the presidents own biography. TIME absolutely another mouthpiece for the left.

Senator Rubio, just leave the stage now. Thank you for your time & interest, and don’t call us, we’ll call you.

He is a doofus. They think he can take on this crowd?

All he has to say is, ‘you guys need to check out the photo montage of the president at the bong. Go do your job.’ Or, ‘did you see the pres looking so high on an interview last week, it made my kids cringe in embarassment’

But, no, he has to respect the president, he is our leader, the emperor

He is not acquainted with reality, rubio

I have seen pictures of Obama and his “Choom” gang in High school his pot smoking buddies.
He appeared stoned the other night when being interviewed at the start of the Olympics. My guess he is still using.
So who gives a flip whether Rubio tried it or not.
My problem with the medical pot stuff is that is not where they want to go with this. The people behind this are behind legalization of recreational sales of pot. So they will trot out these people who really need medicinal pot to get people to vote for it.
Seems simple to me.
Only let the medicinal pot be available from a certified pharmicist-CVS, Walgreen, Joes Drugtore in downtown podunk.
No store front sales.
Make it a very controlled substance like addictive drugs and perhaps the doctor can only give one refill per perscription. Otherwise you are opening Pandoras box

The proper response to such a question is to ask a question in reply: "Why do you want to know?" On another note, Rubio's response brings this to mind:

31They began reasoning among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Then why did you not believe him?' 32"But shall we say, 'From men'?" —they were afraid of the people, for everyone considered John to have been a real prophet. 33Answering Jesus, they said, 'We do not know.' And Jesus said to them, "Nor will I tell you by what authority I do these things." -Gospel of St. Mark, Chapter 11
