THE CRACKED POT
A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the masters house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots of full of water in his masters house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your masters house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all this work, and you dont get full value from your efforts," the pot said. The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the masters house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path." Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure. The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your path, but not on the other pots side? Thats because I have always known about your flaw, and took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, youve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my masters table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house. Each of us has our unique flaws. Were all cracked pots. But, its the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. Youve just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them.

PRO...((HUGS))...you still have power. How are you and your snow managing? Do you have a way to dig out?
I keep looking out the window waiting for the trucks to arrive.
Stay warm and safe.
A Happy Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Nate is helping his Dad work on the Flyer Wagon, it's slow work.
Maddi gets a big surprise Monday. Today I just attached the Pay High Seat to the Play Kitchen Table.
Maddi does great with her bike. Mounts and dismounts it like it's a Harley. I'm told by my son that Nate does the same,

It was just me and the guitar player at practice today, but we have an hour before service tomorrow for a big rehearsal.
I found a very cool Korean Porcelain doll in na glass case and a wood inlay trinket box today! :-)

Good evening, Mac, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to the MacNessa family.
How is the basement reno coming along? Hope John-Man is feeling better.
Got a bunch of little things done for my Mom and helped her with her online bank transfer. She wants to do as much of this kind of thing herself while she can, but she has to use a magnifying glass even when I have the font set to 16. I need to look into a magnifying screen thingy.

All it would need for this to be true of ANY school would be for it to become as cool to the kids as any other fad or craze... except of course it would not be a fad or craze, it would be the real mccoy.
Why do the advocates of heaven let hell upstage them?
If kids knew what heaven could actually do... they’d be praising, worshiping, and praying such that you could not STOP them! In the public schools! Regardless of what the teachers and principals said!

It has been crazy. Snow is so compacted, temps so cold, when I hit it with the small plow blade I can only go so far and then spin.
Temps in single digits or low teens, winds bring it below zero. Been like this for over a month. I’m ready to pack it in.
