Expanding his attack on the administration's nuclear deal with Iran, Sen. Ted Cruz Thursday said that President Obama should end talks, demand Tehran give up its nuclear program immediately and use military force if the terrorist nation doesn't give in.
A "responsible president," the Texas Republican told a conference on Iran's grab for a nuclear weapon, "would stand up and say unequivocally, in terms that allow no confusion, 'Under no circumstances will the nation of Iran be allowed to acquire nuclear weapon capability, and they will either halt now or we will use every step necessary including direct military force to stop them.'"
. . . .
Cruz, one of the Senate's harshest critics of the U.S. deal to trade sanctions on Iran in exchange for drawing down its nuclear weapons program, also said that the United States should arm Israel with so-called "bunker buster" bombs capable of destroying Iran's bomb plants deep below the surface of the earth.
"At a very minimum," the first-term senator said, "we should be making available bunker busters to Israel. That if Israel is going to be forced to defend itself, it should have the tools to effectively eliminate this program."
Cruz also called for swift approval of new and broader economic sanctions in Iran.
He called the deal being discussed in Geneva and pushed by Secretary of State John Kerry "a very very bad deal and an historic mistake" and a lethal threat to Israel.
Instead of "appeasement," Cruz said, "we should act against an enemy of the United States."

Yes, I as well.
Cruz is correct.
BUT
Obama would Threaten (and exterminate) the whites,
Christians, Jews, and conservatives in CONGRESS
before he would SERIOUSLY go after al Qaeda or Iran.
No doubt! Hitler was in on it too. He never actually invaded anyone. These morons will never get it.
‘We’ supplied Israel with a few GBU 28’s back in 2009, under Obama. Bush was holding back on the deal because Israel sold China some military Tech, which we were not happy about.
Has FR been infiltrated by obama apologists or republicans? I can’t tell.../s
Sledge hammer on head of nail...!

The Iranians chat “Death to America” constantly.
One of these days Miami or NYC will be a heap of nuclear ashes.
But, who will say, Gee, guess we should have listened to that crazy Ted Cruz.
and when that day comes , America will truly change . The day of the Liberals will finally be at an end . Forever . If anyone is foolish enough to nuke America , they will see again what we are really made of . And capable of . The gov in power that lets that happen will not last til the end of the week . Be ready
“need to be HUNG for treason”
Its hanged. John Holmes was “hung”. Harry Reids relative was hanged as a horsethief. Important difference.

Just curious - what is your position on NK and their WMD program?
Should we allow it to go ahead to the point of having ready to launch nukes aimed at the USA? 5,10,20,50?
At what point, if any, would you support military action to prevent that from happening?
If anybody uses nukes on us it would likely be Obama himself using a false flag event to blame it on a right wing “terrorist”.
If this seems preposterous, keep in mind that my governing principles are sound. The U.S. government has no right to dictate terms to North Korea (or anyone else) about weapons programs for the same reason I believe the U.S. government has no right to take my next-door neighbor's guns away from him. North Korea is a sovereign nation, and I don't see how I could possibly believe that the same U.S. government that I consider to be intrusive, overbearing and meddlesome here at home has any right to impose mandates on anyone else around the world.
if not one single sovereign nation should be told what kind of weapons they can construct or buy, then neither should our U.S. administration tell Israel what portion of their own land they can or cannot occupy.
Israel is a sovereign nation !
I would agree with you, except that Israel has received tens of billions of dollars in financial and military aid from U.S. taxpayers. It’s hard to call anything a “sovereign nation” when it relies on someone else’s largesse like that.
Did Cruz make these remarks publically or was this a recorded conversation with Sheldon Adelson?
I don't agree with Cruz on this one. One reason I'd want a ticket to be Cruz/RandPaul is to avoid recreational war mongering.
I'm more troubled about the effects of terrorists in countries the US has destabilized than I am of a self-sufficient Iran which keeps a lid on the crazies in their homeland.
Do I still support a TedCruz/RandPaul ticket? Absolutely. Other VP possibilities would be Senator Sessions or some other PROVEN constitutional conservative.
Cruz is actually my pick for next Supreme Court Justice. Wouldn’t that the leftists panties in a wad?!
My only quibble with your argument is that in Iran, the crazies are in the gov’t, & the ones they are suppressing are probably those that want to end the theocracy. ;-) But I guess you never know...
hmmm, now i can see why you’ve been called an anti-semite.
why don’t we just do this, any muslim nation receiving U.S. aid who borders Israel & threatens them should give up 10% of their land for each threat. that’s a fair price for muslim indiscretion. largesse can work both ways.
p.s.: you get to pay 10k to Israel for each muslim threat.
