Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested the suspect wanted in connection with the murder of Joseph Anderson, a U.S. Army sergeant and father of three who was gunned down while visiting with family in Marrero for the holidays.
Darwin Bethune, 24, of 4468 Rosemont Drive, New Orleans, surrendered to authorities in New Orleans Thursday (Feb. 6), said Col. John Fortunato, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. He will be transported to the Sheriff's Office investigations bureau in Harvey and then booked with second-degree murder.
Bethune is accused of shooting Anderson, 31, in the driveway of a home in the 6100 block of Ray Street in Marrero on the night of Jan. 1. Anderson was ambushed about 9:45 p.m. just after he dropped off his three children at the home of their maternal grandparents.

How is this second degree? The scum went out with the gun with the intention of committing a crime and had no compunction about killing someone. I say turn him over to the Sergeant’s platoon for a little justice.
Yet the next black waitress who forges a racist note on their order ticket will lead the news.
The deceased sergeant was in an interracial marriage.

Maybe Darwin just didn’t like that. The video states Bethune was a former Marine who underwent a court martial in 2012 for undisclosed reasons. Doesn’t seem to have a criminal history so far outside of the court martial.
I guess I don’t need to ask the first question that came to my mind now.
No jail time, just furnish a rope.
He was not a Marine, he was involved in the young Marine program. We used to call them devil pups.

No. The Army SSG (he was not a SGT anymore) Is the white guy on top. I served in Iraq with him, and he was a very dear friend.
