A group called Rabbis from the Committee to Save the Land and People of Israel sent a letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry this Sunday, warning him to end his antagonism towards Israel. [ ]
Drawing on Jewish history, the letters declares to Kerry: If you continue on this destructive path, you will ensure your everlasting disgrace in Jewish history for bringing calamity upon the Jewish peoplelike Nebuchadnezer and Titus who destroyed, respectively, the first and second great Temples and the entire Holy City of Jerusalem, and who, by Heavenly punishment, brought eventual disaster upon themselves, too.
By the power of our Holy Torah, we admonish you to cease immediately all efforts to achieve these disastrous agreementsin order to avoid severe Heavenly punishment for everyone involved, warned the rabbis.

You’re an idiot and about as Jewish as Obama.
“It is true that most American Jews sat home during the Holocaust.”
Actually, Jewish Americans had the highest per capita rate of military service in all wars fought by the USA (including both sides of the Civil War) until the last 10 years or so. It was even higher than average during WWII.
That pic brings tears to my eyes. For so many reasons.
Johns so SO very out of touch with everything but money and prestige.
Both the destruction of the 1st (Solomon's) Temple by Nebuchadnezzer, and Herod's Temple, were ordained by God, as terrible judgments of the people of Israel, and prophesied long in advance. The destruction of Herod's Temple by the Roman general Titus in AD 70, was prophesied personally by Jesus Christ some 40 years before. (Mark 13:1,2; Luke 21:6)
500 years before, Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzer, who had previously destroyed the 1st Temple, according to the book of Daniel after being humbled by God by being driven literally insane for seven years, repented, and then gave one of the greatest testimonies glorifying God in the Bible:
But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity returned to me. Then I praised the Most High and honored and glorified Him who lives forever:For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does what He wants with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can hold back His hand or say to Him, What have You done?
At that time my sanity returned to me, and my majesty and splendor returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and my nobles sought me out, I was reestablished over my kingdom, and even more greatness came to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride. (Daniel 4:34-36)
My point is while the destruction of the Temple(s) in Jerusalem were surely great calamities for the Jewish people...God ordained it, and ultimately it was their own fault.....
God also ordained the punishment of those that were responsible for the physical destruction; there are lots of prophecies specific to Babylon’s destruction. So yes, God didn’t let them off the hook either, and the rabbis got that right.
Why would Israel worry about this misfit of humanity? Kerry is a well primed example of US culture/state. A eunuch at best, certainly nothing more, in any regard. He will follow the lead of God, no matter what lies are told.
Remember Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue”? That power wielded foolishly (and in the position Kerry currently holds, there is that power notwithstanding) can result in all sorts of fallout; not like the “Palestinians” aren’t listening, after all.
Without doubt, Olog-hai.
