The Chris Christie for President moment may already be over.
Former allies are souring on him. His poll strength against Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical matchup has evaporated. Once-friendly media figures like Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen are mocking him, and their joint parody of Born to Run now has more than 4 million views on YouTube.
If Christies appointee David Wildstein is telling the truth when he claims evidence exists that proves the governor knew about the lane closures on the George Washington Bridge, and if that evidence is made public, then all the Christie in 2016 talk is moot, because the governor will have great difficulty avoiding impeachment by the Democrat-controlled New Jersey legislature. If Wildstein is lying, Christie still has the headache of explaining why more than one of his trusted associates acted so vindictively and foolishly, and then tried to blame him.
Christies difficulties have caused some high-level Republican donors, bundlers, and party officials, as well as grassroots activists, to look around for a second option for 2016. No one is writing Christie off yet, but these people feel that the high stakes of the next presidential election require a backup plan.
The name that is currently highest atop their list is that of Jeb Bush, former two-term governor of Florida and son and brother of presidents.
Im deferring the decision until the right time, which is later this year, Bush told reporters during a tour of a charter school in Miami last week. The decision will be based on, Can I can do it joyfully? Because I think we need to have candidates who can lift our spirits. Its a pretty pessimistic country right now. And is it right for my family? I dont even want to think about that until the right time.

Oh darn! —Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy ..
People keep pimping the one guy with the last name that will be rejected by 80% of the voters. Just because of the dynasty implications.
New polls show the aging hag winning by thirty points over Jeb Bush. That’s why the Leftist media is pushing that loser forward in these puff pieces. We know how the state-run media has only the best interest of the GOP at heart, don’t we?
Stay out the bushes! Are you kidding me? we need another NWO meatstick?
Jeb Bush. It no longer surprises that this is the best the GOP can do.
Jeb Bush ain't flyin' with constitutional conservatives. How about stopping the backstabbing and get behind TedCruz/RandPaul as what's best for America? Unless it's not winning you're striving for , that is.
Why do Republicans ever get the delusion that the media will ever give them good press when "push comes to shove"?
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Battle of the liberals. I smell it coming, G.O.P.E. nominates yet another stinking liberal, who calls himself a republican. I say we go with Sarah.
Palin, Cruz or Walker.
Any of the above, in any order, is fine with me.
No more Bushes.
Only way he could get less votes is change his name to Jeb Edwards.
As long as a new world order leftist wins the establishment of both parties are happy.
While the base may prefer Palin or Cruz, walker is by far the most electable.
What is the GOP doing? Pulling names from a list of people LEAST WANTED to run for office?
Jeb blocked a bridge also.
Jeb Bush sucks.
You can’t fix stupid.
Still - the slide of Christie and the rise of Jeb Bush is not an improvement, so far as the Conservative agenda is concerned.
Of course, should she be up to it, Barbara Bush would be more than an intellectual match for Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, in an open, free-ranging debate in the Presidential campaign of 2016.
But that is phantasy politics.
Thats why the Leftist media is pushing that loser forward in these puff pieces.

The MSM is grooming the loser. Blazing a path for his defeat.
