As Keystone XL Pipeline Clears One Hurdle, WH Hints at Further Delay

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. State Department on Friday released yet another "final" environmental impact statement that finds no major objection to the Keystone XL pipeline

So why won't President Obama approve the job-creating project that's been in limbo since 2008? White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough repeatedly dodged that question Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"We have one department with a study," McDonough agreed. "Now we have other expert agencies -- the EPA and many others -- who have an -- the Energy Department -- an opportunity to look at this and make their determination. The president wants to protect their ability to do that, make this decision based on the best analysis and most sound science."

Looks like a whole list of agencies will have to do a separate study. I'm surprised Canada just doesn't tell us to eff off.

Why haven’t these other agencies already done their studies? They’ve only had 5 years.

Have them do the studies one at a time and they can delay it forever.

Sounds like he is looking for ANY excuse to disapprove it. I have said it before and I will say it again, the Environmental Lobby and the politicians they buy are the biggest dangers the economy and security of this nation faces

There is on indisputable fact of life about the Obama Regime.

He and his minions will NEVER do ANYTHING that will benefit, promote or enhance the Economy, Security or Freedom of America or the American People.

You can put that in the bank and draw interest off it.

Exactly. Whenever he's had the chance to do something positive for the economy, he's done the exact opposite.

“I’m surprised Canada just doesn’t tell us to eff off.”

That is what Obama wants.

Keystone oil would offset oil presently brought in by ocean-going tankers.

Why ever would Obama want to do that?

He will, order studies until he gets one with results that he likes; i.e.: the pipeline is too intrusive on the environment. There is no doubt the Obamanation, and many other Demonrats, oppose anything that will benefit the United States and its people, long or short term.

IMHO, this is a big lie. It's in Kerry's lap and Kerry make a decision?? He's just like Obama....present.

Notice all the stuff he's involved in....and nothing happens.

Canada would much rather refine and sell the oil within the North American marketplace as per the NAFTA Agreement, than send it to China.

If any controversy served to illustrate that Obama is just a figurehead financed, promoted, and elected to protect the interest of a few major financiers, The Saudi’s, Buffett, Soros etc., this White House horsesh#t does.

It isn't about the environment. It never was. That has been Obama's fig leaf to obscure the fact that refining oil sands oil domestically would displace the heavy crude we currently import and refine from his fascist friend in Venezuela.
