She is being held without bond, CNN affiliate WFTS reported.
"I think it is outrageous," said Karen Tedder. She and other former students of the retired gym teacher held a gathering Thursday outside Musselman's house in Sebring to pray for her.
She must be released, they say, because her husband is dying of cancer and she's his only caregiver.
A judge sent wildlife commission officers to arrest Musselman. They said she fought them and told them she'd kill them.
Now she is charged not only with feeding wildlife but also with battery against a law officer and violating her probation.

Woman arrested for feeding bears
"She fed the squirrels, the birds, strays and that was in the community. She's just always been that kind of soul," says neighbor Patty Palmer.
That is, until Wednesday, when the 81-year retired physical education teacher was hauled to jail for feeding bears one too many times.
Last November, Fish and Wildlife officers had to euthanize a bear she had been feeding. A judge gave her probation, and made it clear: do it again, and go to jail.
"We sympathize with her and her husband. This is a situation that deteriorated through time and it's an unfortunate outcome," says Gary Morse, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission spokesman.

Now wildlife officials have the power to arrest you -- government run amok, again.
In California there was a bear that kept going into neighborhoods and ransacking garbage cans, there they trapped him humanely and took him to some sanctuary -- they even had a New Years Day float about him. In Florida they jail an 81 year old woman and kill the bear...
Feeding bears means you will probably cause injury to another person and should be treated as an offense.
According to the CNN article you posted, it appears that they went to great lengths not to arrest her.
This is a grizzly situation.
B-b-but bears need a safety net like those on welfare have!
More details here:
Welfare bears. We feed birds but have an outdoor cat to keep the population healthy. The circle of life you know. My favorites are our pair of yellow bellied sapsuckers. It’s mainly because of the name I think but they are wonderful birds.
Death panels. For her, for her husband. ObamaCare should cover it.

A fed bear is a dead bear.
She didn’t go to the forest to feed the bears, the bears came to her property. I saw several news stories of bears coming into neighborhoods, bears that humans aren’t feeding, they even break into garages.
Meatball the Bear Will Be a Star in Rose Parade

“A 600-pound California Black Bear, to be specific. Meatball made his first public appearance in March of last year, foraging for snacks in the trash at homes in a woodsy neighborhood in the foothills just north of Los Angeles. He earned his nickname after he was spotted eating from a discarded package of meatballs.
Twice, Meatball was trapped and transported to the nearby Angeles National Forest, once taken as far as 70 miles from Glendale. But both times, he returned to town. “There just was no putting him back in the forest,” Mr. Hughan says.
Captured a third time late in the summer of 2012, Meatball was placed in an animal sanctuary in San Diego County, some 150 miles south. Finally gone, he wasn’t forgotten. Glendale’s city council decided this year to devote the city’s 100th entry in the Rose Parade to him. A grinning replica of the bear, constructed with palm fiber and uva grass, will pop in and out of a poppyseed-covered trash can.”
There has been a lot of press in Florida for weeks about another woman who was severely mauled by a bear while walking her dog in a suburban neighborhood. Bears were tranquilized, relocated and in one case euthanized. That may account for the treatment of this woman. As far as anyone knows, that bear attack was the only one in recent history. Most just go for the garbage cans and any other source of food.
The easiest way to get bears to come to neighborhoods and break into trash cans and garages is to feed them. Bears are normally shy and will stay away, but feeding them, even inadvertently, diminishes or eliminates their fear of humans.
Those whining about her being in jail should be continuing her work. Those cute bears are surely very hungry by now. Her former students should carry bags of dog food out to the poor starving bears.
People usually get arrested when they attack police.
Feeding bears takes away their fear of humans so they often break into cabins and help themselves.
You can tell which posters don’t have to deal with bears.
Well she’s putting other at risk of serious injury or death with her stupidity.
Beware good intentions.

If we allow feeding bears, what is next? The right to arm bears?
No grizzlies are brown bears. She was feeding black bears, where are just oversized raccoons, but not as mean. Not safe around children and pets.
