A top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards boasted Saturday that his forces have plans in place to attack the United States from within, should the U.S. attack the Islamic Republic.
“America, with its strategic ignorance, does not have a full understanding of the power of the Islamic Republic,” Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami said in a televised interview. “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.”
Reports indicate that terrorist Hezbollah forces — allies of Iran — have infiltrated the U.S. and have mapped out targets.
“We will conduct such a blow in which they [America] will be destroyed from within,” Salami said.
This is the second warning by a high-ranking officer of the Guards in two weeks. The chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, addressing Secretary of State John Kerry, said on Jan. 24 that a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.”
Kerry had previously said that if Iran did not live up to the agreement reached in Geneva on its nuclear program, “all options are on the table.”(continued)

There are a lot of important buildings and historical monuments, artifacts and books in DC, and, I don’t think that they know how to make a neutron bomb, so, I hope not.

I recall speaking with an iranian after the Shah was disposed and the mullahs began their reign of terror. It was a one on one conversation. This person (a male) said he had wanted to be with his Iranian citizens to have helped dispose of the Shah but because of finances he had not been able to return to iran during the time of the *revolution*. Said his religion was islam and he was proud of his countrymen and women for having disposed the Shah and brought the mullahs to power. I think of him often and wonder what he is up to these days.
Not if Obama keeps firing all the officers that know how to launch the missiles. Besides, he would never give the order anyway.
Funny how the hostages were released just before Reagan’s ignauguration.
Maybe if we had a President with a backbone, Iran would get the backchannel message that if one nuke went off on US territory traceable back to Iran, the United States would generously provide the contents of one Ohio class submarine to Iran. Express delivery of course.
This is EXACTLY what they would do. Remember a few months ago when something "hindered" people's ability to access their EBT? It created a major "fecal" storm.
America will be destroyed from within, and probably from it's own people. Imagine the chaos, the hate, and the destruction these "undercover" agents could create with just a little spark?
We are so strong from a military standpoint that we ignore the little "sparks" that could easily and readily cause mass confusion, ill-will, rioting, and complete chaos that could indeed, bring this nation to its knees.

Iranians aren’t Arabs - they’re not stupid. This isn’t like Saddam and his ‘ mother of all wars’ crap. We need to take this seriously.
I knew quite a few Iranians at that time. About 1/3 were apolitical, 1/3 were communists assholes (and would have been hanged on returning home) and 1/3 were primarily nationalistic, for whom the mullahs were sort of the embodiment of Iranian nationalism.
They would have changed in the last 35 years. Life and events would overtake them. They become Americanized, they want to live their lives, not change the world. The problem is their kids, who take the fruits of a liberal democracy for granted, but have that youthful urge to “save the world”. They’re the ones who will get AR-15’s and shoot up schools and malls.
I know some Iranians who are fine people, and despise the mullocracy as much, or more, than most Americans.
Prayers said that their children think the same way.

I was in college in Seattle in the mid/late 70’s. There were a lot of Iranian students and there were always some on the sidewalks carrying “Down With the Shah” signs. They were a PIA. I often wonder how many of them are still here.
