To: no-to-illegals

I knew quite a few Iranians at that time. About 1/3 were apolitical, 1/3 were communists assholes (and would have been hanged on returning home) and 1/3 were primarily nationalistic, for whom the mullahs were sort of the embodiment of Iranian nationalism.

yes that last 1/3 is to be found (or should be) if their current thinking is as was then and they never went back to iran.

I was in college in Seattle in the mid/late 70’s. There were a lot of Iranian students and there were always some on the sidewalks carrying “Down With the Shah” signs. They were a PIA. I often wonder how many of them are still here.
