Only for the ones who can’t get it up fast enough — the long distance guys would be all right.
My daughter dated a guy who was a college place kicker, 5-6, 145, real strong leg, but had his hip badly broken on a blocked kick where a couple 300 pounders landed on top of him and never was able to play again.
I expected Manning in the last two weeks has looked at hours of isolation films going back over the year or more of the Seattle defensive backs for any signs of flawed idiosyncrasies that he can and his receivers can use against them, especially on Sherman. All and every film that are available on Sherman.
Time put up Sherman for all that talk or go down LoL. ;-)
You do know that when Sherman extended his hand to shake Crabtree’s, Crabtree shoved Sherman’s face mask.
Also, I saw a good interview with Sherman and Erin Andrews this a.m. And, that she commented after the interview with Sherman on the field that she thought it was great - - she wasn’t scared and finally got an interesting interview not the same ol same ol bland stuff she normally gets.
IMHO it wasn’t the wisest thing for him to do; however, he was in the moment and hyped up after making an exceptional play that saved the game for the Hawks. Plus, Crabtree has been on him since a charity event and then again on the field. He’s apologized more than once.
Root for whichever team you like - - I just think we need to get all of the facts out.
Did he get them back by getting a finance degree, becoming a sports agent, negotiating their contracts, investing their money, losing millions in risky investments, and then lamenting with them afterwards at how different things would have been if he hadn’t been injured and gone on to be an NFL kicker.
I saw that Andrews interview,,she was being a professional and covering for Sherman, because she is going to have to work with him in the future. HE was quite unprofessional, and he did apologize for his behavior. Lots of players have issues with other players,,and I saw the Crabtree facemask shove btw,,but I didn’t see an extended hand. Who knows what was coming out of Sherman’s mouth? He is not known for being a gentleman player. Some people like that “all about me” attitude. I don’t. I am not missing any facts.
Go Broncos!
I am not defending him. He sometimes acts like a total jerk. I would just like to know more than the headline.
Part of Pete Carroll's success strategy is, to the extent possible, to let the players be themselves rather than fitting them into a straitjacket. He wants to help them be the best they can be rather than merely forcing them into a mold. In turn, players now want to come to Seattle and play under Carroll. He and Schneider have done a fantastic job.
You are for the Broncos and I’m for the Seahawks - -great to be an American today to root for whatever team and have whatever beliefs we want :-)
That said, who knows what Obummer will do tomorrow with his pen and/or his phone.
BTW - I grew up in Denver and was an avid Bronco fan until after about the 2nd year in Seattle. Lived here too long now to go back (though, if my guys weren’t in the SB, I’d probably root for the Broncs, too, though the day wouldn’t be as exciting for me - - us faithful Seahawk fans have waited a very long time for this day, including through some less than stellar seasons).
Well said! And, I agree.
So are we gonna win today? :-)
:: No rain and no snow this game is going to be over at halftime. ::
Guido is at the light truck with his trusty hatchet...just like last year.
Bet the spread and the over/under but Guido’s bosses ain’t gonna take a bath on either. Kind like last year.

Woo hoo!! And the first 36% is in!! Thank you all very much!! |
Thanks so much. I always favor players who give their time to children, particular quarterbacks, given my partiality to them. Philip Rivers is my favorite of course, and he does his share with children. Most of all, I don’t want any injuries today. Again, thank you so much for those links. I have a wonderful graphic of Russell Wilson I will post later on. (Soliciting donations for our FReepathon of course).
I’m not a guy, what do I know about football ;-) I’ve been more excited that nervous, so, I hope that’s a good indication. Maybe I’ll get more nervous when the game starts.
I haven’t really watched Manning or the Broncos this year, except when we beat them in pre-season 40 to 10 (and I know we can’t use that game as a guage). I’ve been on all sorts of sports sites (I never go to these sites) this week reading lots to try to get a feel. A lot of the website and TV media is fawning over Manning. Granted, he’s a great QB, has had a super record this year, and overcame a lot after his neck surgery. Kudos to him. I think the Hawks have a great team and if they can contain Manning and IF our offensive line steps up and protects Wilson, I think we can win. I know, 2 big IFs. Hopefully, our defense stays strong and scores a few points and prevents some Denver points, too.
I'd like to see them change the rules on a field goal...
3 points from past the 20 yard line, two points from the 20 yard line in toward the goal..
That would certainly change the dynamics of a close game when a field goal chip shot will send a game into OT...
About to put on my orange, blue on white sweatshirt with the old 1970’s style BRONCOS with the horsey D in the middle. Two orange stripes on the arms included. I’ll ride the sweatshirt and the players will ride the arm of Manning to victory.
PS. Will we hear the ‘Omaha shout’ from big P?
You’re very welcome, onyx! Russell and his wife do a great job, as do other Seattle pro-ball players. I didn’t even know they visited Childrens Hospital every week until I read it last week — they don’t want the media attention, they just want to extend a hand to those in need, especially kids.
I agree about favoring players who help kids. Many here may not be familiar with Dan Wilson - - a great former catcher for the Seattle Mariners. He and his wife have done a lot in the community, again like other Seattle players, under the radar. I got to meet him last year. Another humble, Christian and unassuming guy, just like Wilson.
