CHANGE FOR BETTER SERVICE
Have you ever noticed that the typewriter keyboard places the most frequently used keys far apart from each other? The purpose of this arrangement was to slow down the typing speed. Keys on the machines of the 1800s used to jam if the typist went too fast.
About 40 years ago, the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard was developed. On this keyboard, the most frequently used keys were in the home row, and the right hand did 56 percent more work than the left. Typists using this keyboard could increase their speed up to five times without increasing in error.
Still, we continue with a keyboard designed to be inefficient. Why? We don't like changes. Mark Twain once said, "Only a wet baby welcomes a change."
However, today's military requires innovative, out-of-the-box thinking. Whether we like it or not, we change every day.
Prayer: Almighty God. Help us to be more creative, thoughtful, and pro-active in serving our country. Amen.

I favor the Broncos. I like Peyton Manning - thought he was ill treated by the Colts, after 15 or so years of playing for them.
Also, I hate Pete Carroll - always have. At the same time, I must say I have great respect for him - I am not at all surprised that a team coached by him has made it to the SB. They will be hard to beat under his leadership.

This is Laurel Hegy, the guy who was sent the code letter. I have no idea what he is doing but maybe some of the military guys can tell me.

They did have something like that on “Gilligan’s Island” for holding water but Gilligan poked a hole in it.

Good just barely morning, Meg. A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thank you for the prayer for our protectors.
What a beautiful picture. I think I would really like living in a lighthouse.
I hope you and your back are in alignment and your kitties are in fine fettle.

Sorry, Pro....I can’t stand Pete Carroll. But, I don’t have a dog in this fight. So....if the Seahawks win, I’m ok (sorta) with that.
Got all your snacks ready for tomorrow? How many of you in the TV room?
