Barack Obama was in Wisconsin and Tennessee Thursday happy talking about "opportunity." He's for it, by the way.
"It's good to be in Wisconsin," he told Wisconsin. Few hours later, "It's good to be in Nashville." In both places he talked about "opportunity"--the opportunity that comes with jobs and the opportunity that comes with education.
As a word, "opportunity" polls well. Americans like the idea. Yet, these days whenever Obama has the opportunity to talk about his signature namesake "achievement," he rarely seizes the opportunity.
It wasn't until two-thirds of the way through his 7,000-word State of the Union address Tuesday night that Obama mentioned healthcare. But he never said the the words "ObamaCare" or "Affordable Care Act." The good news for Obama is his 2014 State of the Union was the least-watched of any this century.
Within Thursday's nearly 7,000 words, the Democrat never uttered the word "ObamaCare," while "Affordable Care" slipped out but once.
That's no accident. Obama's healthcare reform is less popular every day, coming up on two-to-one disapproval. Not to mention the plunge in Obama's own approval with the revelations of his serial lies about keeping your insurance and your doctor if you want. "Period."
To millions of Americans, however, ObamaCare has been just a word. Now, however, every single day thousands of Americans learn the details of ObamaCare's impact on their family, lives and wallets. It's not pretty.
At Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV, the ABC Hearst outlet, an enterprising anchor, Wendy Bell, made arrangements to film the benefits information session at a McKeesport small business, an auto body shop.
The video below has all the figures. They are devastating. But just watch the workers' faces as the financial impact sinks in. Very sad.

Obamacare in Wisconsin ping
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Video for later
Pittsburgh..that’s where Seb had the Obamacare rally for all those Steeler fans at Heinz Field, LOL.
Yeah, watch the faces... resignation, not indignation, or anger.
Americans have been groomed for communism. They’ll accept it like they accept a rainy weekend day.
I watched the video.
First off how do you make a conservative out of a democrat/liberal?
Ans: You mug them or hit them aside the head with a ‘clue board’.
These people have just been mugged. One or two might still be experiencing cognitive-dissonance but the first time they go to the Dr. they’ll wake up.
I have saved the video and put it on a DVD to give him a present the next time I see his sorry butt at the golf course.
Whining about the very results he voted for and was touting as "free health care" a few years ago.
I don't know the rest of that crew, but if they voted for obama, good, if not, we are all in the same boat, and maybe, just maybe it will get repealed {post obama}.
For the next three years, there will be mucho weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Exactly! And the worst part most Americans haven't an idea what they have been converted to. Most just happily rolling along like everything is OK. The rest are to ignorant. My biggest fear is America is finished as the receivers of a Constitution that once gave them the freest land on Earth.
I wonder how many of them foolishly voted for him? THAT would’ve been interesting to know in all this.
What’s the old description of a “conservative?” A liberal who has been mugged. Here’s hopin’, but I don’t think our dumbed down electorate is capable of independent rational thought. They can only believe what their “betters” tell them to believe.
Americans are like a bunch of dopers crying over a bad trip.
The voters wanted the Dope so they should STFU and deal with the consequences.
Obamacare is the end result of letting democrat fascists have control of Congress for eighty years, not just Obama and the current crop of fascists.
The fascists have had and still have the patience to plan and act for the long term and Conservatives don't, it's really that simple. Yelling, "they're all the same" then taking your toys and going home doesn't cut it. If the only choice is between the current scumbag and a different scumbag at least work to throw the current scumbag out so he doesn't gain seniority and keep that up until there is an alternative.
The fascist crowd now running the democrat party felt the same way about having relatively conservative people in their party so in the sixties they took the party over one precinct at a time. Conservatives either have to do the same sort of thing or get used to the fascists running the show.
JMHO
Watched, and forwarded.
Rubber meets the road for millions more like them this year when the Employer Mandate kicks in...
-——resignation——
The common theme was “I can’t afford”
The solution is simple, more money. If wages are inflated the problem will go away.
The hue and cry for increasing the minimum wage is soley for the purpose of inflating wages to pay the insurance bill
Yah, I wonder how many of those guys voted for Obama once or twice?
By the time all is said and done, 98% of the country will claim that they voted for McCain.
Yeah....how many people on FR are Precinct Committee People?
Actually, the hue and cry for increasing the minimum wage was primarily for the purpose of sending more money to the union goons. Many union contracts are based on a multiplier of the minimum wage. When it goes up, so do the union contracts.
No I see the woman who's premium has gone to $1300 per month with a $4000 deductible deciding to pay the penalty and not have insurance. You can always get it later with pre-existing. That's the route I would choose if I were in her shoes.
Those people don’t look like Obama voters to me, so I do sympathize.
