He fails to mention the role of big government, which is not surprising, since I haven’t seen any indication that Patrick favors a smaller government.
I hired an all American concrete company to do some work for me. The owner lamented the fact that he was being undercut by other companies that were hiring illegals. His options: pay Americans less, hire illegals, or go out of business. That is what is happening on a very large scale in America today, and the GOPe is complicit in this.

Indiana has a R supermajority in both legislatures and R gov and passed RTW.
Wisconsin and Michigan have made good R gains also.
I just read some 40 odd posts. The topic was about how the GOP lost middle America. Reading the posts convinced me that PJB is also predicting the future, there is no interest in the GOP in bringing back middle America.

If citizenship is not part of the package we will still have millions of people who don’t belong here taking jobs our citizens need at such low wages they will still be overwhelming social services at taxpayer expense.
If citizenship is not part of the package there will be an immediate cry of civil rights and they will then be given citizenship.
At the point they are given citizenship they will no longer be cheap labor that is willing to work in substandard/dangerous conditions. Companies will still want cheap labor so more illegals will be allowed in the country to fill that desire.
Rinse/repeat until we no longer have a country...
Not to mention many are absolute criminals, and have no desire to work here only to commit crimes here. Not to mention the pro-illegal groups will give credit to Democrats alone so all the new voters will vote D forever.

The amnesty bell, once rung, will toll the death of the Republican party and probably the Republic as well.
The time to draw a line in the sand has come. We The People must stand up to the government and demand accountability. We must insist that those entrusted with the reins of power either enforce the law, step aside or be removed. Most importantly, we must be prepared to take action beyond writing a stern letter or “Liking” a blog post.
Americans have done this before. Now it is our turn. We must not let the lame duck congress pass comprehensive amnesty if we are to have any hope for our children and grandchildren to enjoy the blessings of liberty we once took for granted.
