When the GOP started marginalizing the Tea Party that was the last straw for me.
Interesting interview with RNC committeeman Dave Agema explaining how speaking openly in support of the GOP platform led to the attempt by the GOP to force him to resign.

He really nails it in saying that the GOP reflexively runs for cover at the first sign of protest from the left and is always ready to offer up a sacrifice to appease. His most recent outrage is for saying that Sharia law contributes nothing and has no place in America.
It was for many the authors point is that the GOPs argument all along of well lose if we dont stick together falls flat on its face when the stupid party is going about doing that all by its lonesome.
If theyre are playing to lose anyway, why stick around?
Me too. I reached this point in the 2012 cycle. Done. No more. This author seems to be willing to give it one more go.
Principles supporting freedom, family, prosperity and -real- security, not endless sand wars, would also go far to erode welfare state inroads on almost ALL demographics.
It is not even attempted anymore.
The post-Reagan GOP is a statist and elitist sham.
Me too. Bonehead and Chinless are in agreement on driving the TEA Party out.

You ain’t alone.
No matter who the GOP-e pushes on us, I’m writing in Ted Cruz.
That’s the ONE weapon we have: our absolute REFUSAL to vote for their RINO of choice.
You are correct. They don’t care. But don’t let them run us off. And if we stick together we can beat the elites and put them in the minority position where they belong. So it is important to note that running off and leaving America naked before her enemies is NOT what I am going to do and it is not what you should do either.
You're very patient. It's been quite a while for some of us.
