Attorney General Eric Holder said at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing today that President Obama is open to using an executive action to push through gun-control and/or associated mental health measures that havent found approval in Congress.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), one of the top proponents of new gun-control measures in Congress, noted that Obama only made a very brief reference to gun violence in his State of the Union address.
But I hope, and I hope you will join me in the view that the president remains completely committed to ending gun violence in this country, adopting common sense sensible measures like background checks and mental health initiatives; a ban on straw purchases and illegal trafficking, Blumenthal said to Holder at the Justice Department oversight hearing.

“To the vanquished, the terms of surrender come in installments.” adolf hitler.
thanks to the NSA and the corrupt DOJ, the corrupt obozo is using the corruption of our congressional members as well as the corruption of Federal Court Judges against them thus creating an open path for his tyranny. It is time for the US military to act on their sworn oath and arrest the fraud in the WH, his henchmen and those in congress and the courts who have been complicit in allowing this lawless regime to take hold.
I think it’s coming to that... simply ignoring their unconstitutional “laws”.
Yeah, obviously those guys were underfunded, since he couldn’t afford binoculars and had to use his RIFLE SCOPE.
Rule #3 - Never point your firearm at something you don’t intend to destroy.
“Brain injury surgical scar.”
Which scar are you referring to?
The scars down the sides of his head, the temple seams, the scars sectioning off the top of his head, or the 3-4 crescent scars across the back of his head, neatly dividing his hair/scalp into sections?
Why is every square inch of his cranium part of a self-contained section?
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
The American school, the French School and the Irish school in Mexico City all have walls, security gates and surveillance cameras placed around their grounds.
The kids get a fine education and the security provides for a relaxes environment inside.
Surveillance cameras cost less than $100 each. A computer system dedicated to surveillance with about 15 wireless cameras cost less than $3000.
A few teachers or administrative persons or hired security guards trained in firearms with concealed weapons permits could put a stop to any psycho killers approaching school grounds.
All of the above is minimal cost and is worth every penny to safeguard America’s sacred Bill of Rights.
First thing President Cruz should do is hire Israeli consultants to teach Americans how to safeguard schools. Concurrently he should hire Texas Rangers to teach school teachers how just a very few with firearms training can easily guard any school.
Would you surrender your guns to a moslem/indonesian IRANIAN AGENT with a fake afro wig?
Yeah... I’m pretty much done.
So you’re just going to go ahead and declare war on us Barky?
This may just be the spark that sets it off.
Just sayin’
Like the scene in “Saving Private Ryan!”
I think Zer0 should put more energy into curbing gangland activity. A breakdown of the Chicago killing fields shows that 83% of those murdered in Chicago last year had criminal records. In Philly, its 75%. In Milwaukee its 77% percent. In New Orleans, its 64%. In Baltimore, its 91%. Many were felons who had served time. And as many as 80% of the homicides were gang related. Nearly a quarter of our nation’s murders come from the following cities:
Chicago (422), New York City (333), Detroit(332),Los Angeles (255), Philadelphia (246), Baltimore (234), Houston (201), New Orleans (155), Memphis (150) and Dallas(137).
The above cities do not show how high their murder rate is compared to the population. For instance, Chicagos murder rate of 15.65 per 100,000 is way over the American average of a 4.2 rate. Chicago’s rate compares to Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. And, New Orleans has an incredible 72.8 murder rate!
The gangs that drive these wild murder rates get their guns like they get their drugs. Guns come through the same network that stretches from these homicide capitols down to South America. The only way to eliminate the guns is to stop the drug trafficking.
The gang members show no resemblance to the suburban kid who is off his meds and decides to shoot up the school. America has more gangland murders than Sierra Leone, Eritrea and Puerto Rico combined. Our murder rate now largely consists of criminals killing criminals. And these criminals are the result of broken homes, high out of wedlock births and Zer0’s unemployment rate for black youths.
For those politicians who try to deflect the gun violence on some imaginary view that crazed people have guns is a scam. These politicians do no want to focus on the real problem: illegal drug trafficking by gangs. And I suspect these politicians are being caught up in the illegal drug industry and do not want their gravy train to end from drug kingpins lining their pockets.
The fascist are fully aware of the law. At present it is legal to transfer a gun to anyone within your state who is of lawful age and, to your knowledge, not a prohibited person.
What Blumenthal and his fascist buddies hope to do is convince the public that ANY transfer of a firearm without a background check is in fact a straw purchase. I could see Obama could issuing an executive order to direct the ATF to unlawfully require background checks on all sales or transfers except maybe to a son or daughter.
The ATF will quickly find examples to prosecute to send a message to the sheeple. Some cases will make it to federal court, but considering the liberal federal judges Obama's EO may very well be upheld as constitutional. After all the current law requires background checks and FFL pass through on interstate transfers. Not much of a stretch to see them try to include sales within a state.
The goal in all of this is to enable the Fed Gov to greatly expand their illegal gun registration database which they claim not to have. Meanwhile the GOPe pu$$ies will sit on their hands.
