FACEPALM!
Anyone want to bet the race of the vast majority of perps?
Just another example that delusion and deception is at the core of “progressive” thought.
The only way these groups will be happy is if there is no description of the perp at all. Any description used will be called racist.
What have we done?
We have raised people who put feel good above reality. We have groomed a populace to accept the garbage pumped out by communists because it’s “fair”.
There are some terrible, dark days in America’s near future.
This has been going on already. Nothing says you’re going to get away with like a perp description reading “approximately six foot tall in jeans and a t-shirt” — round up 25% of the city.
Some person is doing something somewhere that you might want to avoid. So be advised.
Yeah, when there’s a rapist, we wouldn’t want to make any distinction between a 70 yr old Asian female and a 19 yr old black male.
“Be on the lookout for a guy, roughly six foot tall, one eighty pounds. Dark clothing.”
*Cop shop swamped with over one hundred innocent people matching the perp description, none of them the perp.*
Tribal loyalty. Black students don’t want racial descriptions of crime perpetrators because they are predominantly of the same tribe.
Just post the race when it is something other than black.
Example: BOLO for a WHITE male...
In other words, just assume it to be so unless stated otherwise. I am guessing that is what they really want, just give it to them.
This is regular practice in television news in Miami. The little I watch reveals criminal investigations where someone is assaulted or murdered or robbed.....and the subject being sought is RARELY described in racial terms....EVEN if the victim saw the perp face to face.
Not always, but often enough to notice. The media has an obvious aversion to reporting the race of many criminals.
Yeah, and we wouldn’t want to be sexist either. Discrimination against short, tall, fat, and skinny people would be wrong. Maybe every one could just be described as average.
It's easy to just make an assumption 100% of the time.
All they have to do is say, “The perpetrator was not caucasian, asian, or hispanic.”
“Calling all cars. Calling all cars. Be on the lookout for a person. Non-specific height. Non-specific weight.”
Crime alerts from say, Seton Hall, or Loyola Baltimore, are seriously boring.
The ONLY thing that varies is the number of perpetrators and whether a weapon was used, and whether there was an assault as well as a robbery.
So the UM groups are absolutely right - description is unnecessary.
I was sure this was from the Onion:
The repeated black, black, black suspect, Taylor said. And what that does it really discomforts the mental and physical comfort for students on campus because they feel like suspicions begin to increase.
No sh*t! LOLOL!
As someone on the local morning show pointed out: "The groups calling for this certainly have no problem identifying themselves by race."
Seems a bit hypocritical.
Another point brought up:
If your child was kidnapped or otherwise missing, would you want their race included with the description?
“...efforts to reduce crime should never be at the expense of our Black men, or any specific group of people likely to be targeted. In addition to causing Black men to feel unsafe and distrusted, racial profiling is proven to inflict negative psychological effects on its victims.
Best solution is to stop reporting crime. Then everyone will feel safer and have more esteem.
