Palin: SOTU address ‘alarming’
Politico ^ | 1/29/14 | Tal Kopan

Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said her impression of the State of the Union, gathered by listening on her truck radio and reading on her phone from kids’ ball games, is that the president’s “hubris” and “naivete” is “alarming.” Palin said she avoided watching the annual speech because it’s all been said before in a Facebook post Wednesday. “If you skipped huddling around the TV last night for the State of the Union address because you’ve heard it all before, plus you were just busy with life, well… so did I,” Palin wrote. “Putting the real world on hold

I didn’t watch one second of that nonsense last night..I really didn’t want my blood to boil so I just watched some basketball instead, some Little House On The Prairie, and a Sanford and Son episode..I cant stand hearing Obama’s voice so why put myself through the agony of hearing him go on and on about “Income Inequality” which just means Socialism..and about how Commiecare is great

Back in the Clinton days, and the first year of Obama, I used to let other Freepers do the watching and reporting. And I would consult the transcripts. But at this point I can’t stand even reading a transcript, because I pretty much know what kind of meaningless lies and gobbledygook they will involve.

And I note that there are scarcely any Freepers left who are willing to assume the burden of listening to the enemy in order to report to the rest of us what was said. Bad enough listening to Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton, but Obama is a thousand times worse.

You can sum up just about all his speeches thus: “I am the Messiah, and I’m trying, uh, extremely hard fix the mess I found when I came into office, but it’s just going to take a little longer because of the political gridlock caused by those evil Republicans, who are unwilling to compromise.”

Was it a re-run?
Well, yes, in a way. He borrowed heavily from his previous *speeches* and even tried to sprinkle in some Reaganesque populism, just for laughs.

Try this Logitech Track Pad

There are others of course. I switched to the Mac Track pad a couple years ago, never thought I could, now couldn't move back. I made a small lap holder that mounts both the keyboard and track pad, makes it cool for me.

Logitech also makes a small keyboard with track pad built in, but it is less than a good substitute for the Apple stuff, but will function after fashion on the Mac, undoubtedly works much better on the PC.

Logitech K400, $29.00 at Amazon

There are more expensive options of course...

Although B. Hussein Obama has an aversion to taking credit for his abundant failures, lies, and criminal acts, B. Hussein did a credible job of describing just what his failures were in last night’s State of the Obamanation Failed Union Speech.

B. Hussein waxed eloquent on his description of how the Keynesian “Prime the Pump” stimulus theory of economics has failed without ever mentioning Keynes, or economic stimulus.

It was a masterful slight of hand speech, worthy of B. Hussein’s reputation as a consummate lying, con-artist, (pardon the redundancy).

Now that Commie Obama has been forced to admit that Communism (Mandatory Universal Federal Medical Insurance Tax, aka Obamacare), Economic Stimulus, Fed-controlled low interest rates, and Constitutional violations have made the last 5 years a living Hell for The Middle Class in America, the question I have is as follows:

“Who in the RINO Wing of the Republican Party has learned NOT to repeat what B. Hussein has proven for 5 years to be failed Federal Government policy?”

What say all of you?

"Between the hubris of an executive branch governing by fiat, to the arrogance of believing it can spy on citizens’ communications and unleash the IRS to harass people who happen to disagree with the President, it’s now more important than ever for us to press in and pay attention."

"The last thing we need right now is more ‘help’ from big government. In this midterm year, we need to send new leadership to D.C. to get government back on our side and off our aching backs. Thankfully, November is just around the corner."

The family finally made the decision to dump cable altogether - before the coup.

Acirema, is it upside down flag time yet? If not now, when? If not you or I, who?

Consider this: the number of ex-Army Rangers, ex-Green Berets, ex-Navy Seals and ex-Marne Force Recon in civilian life is larger the the combined US armed forces.

Hey Beltway: "Consider this: the number of ex-Army Rangers, ex-Green Berets, ex-Navy Seals and ex-Marne Force Recon in civilian life is larger the the combined US armed forces." Plus all of us old codgers who can still shoot!

Sarah says it best: ". . Because we’re obviously on a dangerous path, but “We the People” don't have to be “We the Sheeple” and just get shepherded towards a fundamental transformation that’s against America’s will."

It's the ballot box or the cartridge box. We'll see.

I love Sarah to pieces. I was rooting for her to be on the National Ticket before McLame picked her in ‘08. But, I need to say, Sarah, what is also alarming is that you continue giving your blessings and endorsements to that old prune-faced s.o.b. who was your running mate in ‘08. You don’t owe him anymore. You paid your debt to him in ‘08 by keeping him from getting annihilated, which he would have had you not been on the ticket. If you sing his praises or endorse him publicly one more time, I’m going to tune you out permanently. My love affair with you will be OVER!!! People on FR probably won’t say what I’m saying, but if it was anyone else, they’d be tearing them to pieces. It’s only because you’re loved Sarah; you are very loved.

Palin probably don’t think he is, but .... Obviously he knows that it is hard to reverse what he has done and so he can depend on the Republican leadership just to trim along the ages. They seem to have accepted that the principle everyone should have insurance. That puts the insurance companies, or at least those with connections, in a great place, serving , more or less as government contractors, and the onus of any refusals falls not on them but the government.
