GREENBURGH, New York A New York politician is suggesting that a new bridge being built over the Hudson River be named for the activist folk singer Pete Seeger.
Seeger died Monday at 94.
Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner (FY'-nur) notes that Seeger fought to save the river from pollution...

Let’s just go all the way and all it the Communist Bridge.
How about naming a toilet bowl Pete Seeger.
He was slime.
A good singer, but still slime.
And his IQ was just about as low as that of Barbara Stri-bimbo.
Or Stalin Bridge.
Pol Pothole bridge.
Pete Seeger was a talented songwriter, and there’s nothing wrong with being a pacifist, but you don’t have to be anti-American to do it. Maybe they could name the bridge the “Shut Up and Sing Bridge”, as a reminder to entertainers that being able to perform doesn’t mean their opinion on anything is of the slightest interest to anyone else...
I’d still rather have entertainers offering unsolicited political views than Republican ex-Senators like Warner and Lugar coming right out and endorsing Democrats.
this awful idea has a self-destruct button built in: the Tappan were Indians; good luck taking something else away from them, evil whiteys.
If I remember correctly, his sailboat, the "Clearwater", was cited for releasing raw sewage into the Hudson River.
How about the “Karl Marx Bridge to Obamaworld.”
great minds think alike, I was going to say just name it after Stalin the mass murderer commie
Idiots.
Hugh Hewitt gave a very informative, sobering obit, yesterday, replete with seeger’s associates, going back to 1936, when this guy soded with the nazis but also promoted stalin, while playing ‘we shall overcome’ in the background.
He even said that at least Joan Baez apologized after seeing the Cambodian killing fields, stating that she contributed to 6,000,000 deaths (that’s an apology, Fonda apologists)
This guy was not a sweet folk song singer. He was a communist activist. A card carrying member and promoter
And ugly, too
so a NY politican wants to name a bridge after a singer who promised to help the enemy if the USA was attacked.
he was just another hippie in the mud of woodstock’s stupid generation.
I’m partial to the naming it the ‘New Old Tappan Bridge”.
He was no pacifist, he just thought we fought for the wrong side.
The Current FReepathon Pays For The Current Quarters Expenses?
Old commie..no great loss.
Right after the Golden Gate Bridge is renamed the Nancy Pelosi Catwalk.
That would be disgusting. Losing that wonderful Dutch name would be truly disgusting.
