Congressman Michael Grimm, reportedly under federal investigation after allegations of illegal campaign fund-raising, blew up at and physically threatened a reporter tonight after the presidents State of the Union speech, according to NY1.
During an interview with Mr. Grimm after the speech, the stations Washington reporter, Michael Scotto, attempted to pivot from the speech to the allegations. But Mr. Grimm, who said he wanted to focus on the evening, visibly stormed off and then came back to confront the reporter.

I take it you believe Grimm's actions were appropriate. I do not. That doesn't make a Hitlery enabler. It makes me someone who likes my representatives to operate without any semblance of impropriety. In doing so, it eliminates the opposition's ability to go after them. If I am willing to call out a democrat for unbecoming behavior, I need to be willing to call out a republican for the same. The hypocrisy in not doing so makes us no different than the liberals.
Why would you chastise someone for expecting better from their elected representative?
Grimm’s a RINO—a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership that’s targeting conservatives:

He was in such a hurry to get to his next interview, but found time to come back and threaten the reporter.
He just handed the Democrat his seat.
Note to pencil necked reporters: Lie to and bait an ex-Marine (and ex-FBI) at your own risk.
I agree with you. Bet that “smart ass” reporter won’t try to ambush Rep. Grimm again. The reporter just said he was not used to give “push back”. I’ll bet he’s not.
That should be *get* push back.
By not letting the congressman throw him off that balcony, the reported missed a good opportunity to write an expose on ObamaCare.
Grimm was stupid. Not only should he resign, he should be charged. There is no way we can let elected officials talk to us like that whether they be republican or democrat.
If he was a democrat people here would be calling for his head and rightly so.
This can not be tolerated.
While I agree Grimms response was not ideal, the little pecker reporter deserved it. Screw the cry baby twerp reporter. If he cant stand the heat then dont badger your interviewees.

Um, should not the same thing be true of the poltician? If this guy can’t handle a weasel reporter without threatening to throw him off the f#$%ing balcony, he needs to look into a new line of work himself, maybe, say, knitting or sewing.
A pox on both their houses.
I’m just pointing out that the modus operandi of the media, team Obama, and many Republicans and conservatives will be, in the following year, to TAINT the electable conservative party—intentionally or unintentionally.
Look, it began early with Christie (rino by our comparison), continued with D’Souza (solid pundit who should’ve been charged with at most a MISDEMEANOR), Radel’s misdemeanor charge (Republicans pushed him out even after he repented), and goes on with this guy who did NOT commit a crime and who is being pursued by the Obama administration....
My point is that ALL of these guys are Republicans...some may or may not have broken the law....but it is NO accident the media is trumpeting every small foible, amplifying any perceived misstep....or, perhaps, outright LYING about the circumstances.
Nothing unusual about that in itself, except the rapid fire in which they are coming AND the fact that Republicans are joining the media in pissing on them.
You are certainly free to bash Grimm. I am not haranguing you, merely pointing to the current trend that will move toward putting Democrats back in control of the House of Representatives next November.
I hope I am wrong, but this looks a whole lot like 2006.
.....and you all are proving my point.....buying into the destruction of the Republican brandNOT to the benefit of a more conservative alternative, but to the party of Hitlery.

In order for us to prove your point, wouldn’t you actually have to have one?
Threatening to throw a reporter off the fu^&ing balcony does more damage to the Republican brand than anything said on this thread.
Grimm is my Congressman and I have warned many times that if he votes for amnesty I will work to defeat him. I wrote this to him this morning:
“What you have done is redouble the Democrats’ resolve to defeat you. I don’t want to see you defeated but if you vote amnesty I’ll join them. Please understand that your road to re-election is through grassroots conservatives. You won’t get ANY Democrat votes and if you pass amnesty you won’t get our votes either. Boehner and Ryan are leading you to certain defeat. Stand up to them pull hard right and stay there. When amnesty comes up vote no. We’ve just seen construction jobs pull the island’s employment numbers up, newly legal Democrats will vote against you and steal American construction jobs. Thereafter the conservative construction workers will vote against you as well.”
Understood. I appreciate your explanation.
Thanks. :-). Post 37 may interest you too.
