'We are dealing here with real kings, and the kingdom of David and Solomon was a real fact,' Gershon Galil from the department of Jewish History at Haifa University told FoxNews.com.

Of course it is true. The Bible presents it as fact, and therefore it is. Regardless or how long it takes archeologists to catch up with the truth of Scripture.

He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David. — Luke 1:32 MKJV
David was real, David’s throne was real, a lineage that is heir to that throne still lives and will continue to live to the time when Jesus will return to claim it and fulfill this promise.

so, who thought this wasn’t true? I thought David & Solomon were historical figures, or I am just dumb? I actually studied from the Bible for an ancient history class I had once.
Don’t really know much about the Bible, but I never doubted these were actual guys, never doubted that David wrote the Psalms, even if the baby story was maybe made up.
Set me straight, Freepers!

“could prove that the reigns of King Solomon and King David actually occurred. “
There are people who don’t believe this? Too funny!

Actually, the Old Testament will prove whether these books are true.

Once again, I am impressed at how archaeology has proven the Bible true on so many details over such a long period of time.
The Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth. Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith; p. 194
And once again, my heart breaks for my LDS friends and relatives.
The Book of Mormon is purportedly sacred scripture that trumps the Holy Bible in importance. It makes hundreds of scientifically verifiable claims including:
- Stories of mass migrations of Jews in submarine barges and sleek sailing ships
- Construction of dozens of walled cities in the Americas
- American Indians being direct descendents of the Jews, practicing Judaism and speaking Hebrew
- American Indians domesticating cattle and sheep, and growing wheat and barley
- American Indians smelting and forging steel into swords
- American Indians riding about in horse drawn chariots
- American Indians wearing clothes made of silk and linen, and fastened with buttons
- Centuries of warfare and numerous epic battles.
And yet scientists have been unable to verify even one of the book's amazing assertions and has instead disproved hundreds.
The contrast between historical accuracy of the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon is indeed profound.

He is attempting to extrapolate beyond the limits of the supporting facts.
He takes a note defining the vintage year and extrapolates it into the Bible. Unscholarly BS

The 10th century BC 'Ophel Inscription' was unearthed last year, and scientists were initially baffled by the bizarre language that was inscribed on the remains of a jug. Perhaps it is written in proto-Reformed Egyptian®.

Is there anybody who doesn’t know that Kings David and Solomon are real according to the Bible? I don’t need proof!
