A North Dakota farmer convicted of terrorizing law officers two years ago is the first American to be sentenced to prison with the help of a Predator drone, Forbes reported.
Rodney Brossart, who was accused at the time of stealing six cows from a neighbor, was arrested after a summer-long standoff in 2011. Authorities say Brossart family members refused to allow deputies on their farmstead and didn't show up for court hearings.

We’ll have to wait until Andrew Zimmern puts out a recipe on Bizarre Foods.
nice reference... how the heck do you terrorize the police by not showing up???
There is no warrant required to fly a helicopter over anybody’s land, and there’s not much difference between that or using a drone. The use of drones just doesn’t freak me out, all by itself. I don’t feel spied on when helicopters overfly my house... Having drones up there doing a similar job more efficiently seems like a good thing, as a taxpayer.
But I also don’t pull a gun on everybody that comes to my house. Maybe this farmer could be a little less trigger-happy and more reasonable and he wouldn’t piss off his neighbors so much. Being a good neighbor is part of living in —and preserving— a free country.
It appears ‘suspicion of’ is good enough fer hangin’....or droning.
Same here.
God bless and keep you.
After all, if you aren’t doing anything illegal, you won’t mind a little government snooping, will you? /sarc
That’s not it at all. I don’t like government snooping or fishing expeditions. But the fact remains that there is no restriction on flights over private property, for private pilots, commercial pilots, or government pilots whether they are in the aircraft or in a trailer somewhere.
I got a little chuckle outta that too but wasn't gonna say anything.
Me thinks a couple of posters to this thread are spies for Dummy Underground......
Somehow I don’t think that using a camera to look at something is the same as Genocide but you could be from one of those cultures that believes that cameras steal people’s souls.
Asked by Medd why he didnt simply turn over the six head of cattle to his neighbor, Brossart said, Sometimes things dont make sense.
That’s a strange way of saying “I wanted to keep them so I pulled a gun on a cop”.
Cow farmer.

Bull farmer.

No just a proud member of one of those ‘fly over’ cultures that is tired of hearing from Virginia elites on how much more sophisticated they are than the rest of us.
Unfortunately, any map would be out of date as local LEOs, no matter how small, are getting them left and right courtesy of hussien. I concluded the only way you can avoid them is to hire a Mr. Hunk or Miss Headlights to nude sunbathe on your back deck as a distraction.
There is a joke about a guy that retired and wanted to become a chicken farmer. He went to town and got 10,000 chicks to start. He went back later to get more chicks and the supplier said you must be doing alright. The chicken farmer said “No they all dies, I either planted them too deep or too far apart?
Your map is a year old. Just sayin’.
Hey, FOX, farmers raise wheat but ranchers raise cattle.
The truth is a heavy burden to carry.
